There's a Dutch band called Spartan. No need to describe what they make songs about. Heard their song "Birth of a God (Alexander, part 1), instantly hooked. Bit heavier than Sabaton, though, but definitely not a bad thing.

The video definitely is taking some visual cues from 300, either the graphic novel or the movie. That said, I am amused that the song commands the listener to remember Ephialtes name, but never once actually mentions it any where.
Most of it is about the movie to be honest which is ok. And you are right about Ephialtes. His name will never be forgotten though since this is the Greek term for nightmare.
I dont take it that way. In my view, its not telling you to remember it, its telling you his name and shame WILL last forever

i agree what u said about the song being more about the movie than actual history,but how much of the history is correct when u look this long back? Is about the historical event and a good song, i would be proud as a Greek?
We are always happy when our history is mentioned and we feel grateful..Sabaton are famous for their in depth analysis of historic facts this is only why it felt strange in a way to hear a verse speaking about fighting in shade and dining in hell..
History is based on what the historians of that age wrote and from the findings we have found during archeological excavations..there are many details about this fight and all the warriors that fought..
