This is easily the most frustrating episode IMO. From the grandpa not discouraging Yu-ra from trying to ruin Ji-hyuk’s life and happiness to Ji-won letting her trust issues drive her to not hear out the one person her dad sent her 😤! I just want our baby’s to be happy together too 🥺💙
Ok I'll just say this about the Yu Ra, Ji Hyuk thing... I get why people were mad at Jiwon at first sight, but yes, her trust issues! People can't expect for her to get over her freaking partner for OVER A DECADE and her only "friend" of like 15 years basically lying, cheating and KILLING her on her other timeline in just a few months, like wut... She was focusing so much on changing her path, and she finally opened up to Ji Hyuk, that the girl did not have much time on addressing her own trauma fully yet... Also, going back to the trauma and trust issues on her side, Ji Hyuk did end it with Yu Ra, but NEVER shared that he was EVER engaged, Ji Won was just sprung the news out of nowhere with her showing up and just spilling it with no anesthesia, and he has also not said a word about his future death, omitting can also be a form of lying, granted not to hurt her, but he was also not 100% honest with her when Jiwon told him everything. So as much as we can all LOVE Ji Hyuk in the drama version, in this version he did make a couple of mistakes and Ji Won has a right to need time to process things... Sorry for my rant lol.
Oh hun 💓, I loved the rant cuz i'm a ranter as well 😂, First, despite how upsetting the push back was from Ji-Won with the whole situation, I completely understand were she's coming from cuz she been really hurt for years and seeing the situation with her mother it really opened up a lot layers in regarding her insecurities will love, intimacy and marriage as a whole. Secondly, I now see your point about Ji-hyuk looking back at the whole series, he's communication has not always been the best especially in Ji-Won's case. I'm really happy they're not going to drag on this trope because we only have a few episodes left.
Oh boy... Was waiting for this episode, this was the one that made most of the viewers pissed the F off, and ep 13 a little as well 😅 But last two eps makes it ALL worth it. I will watch and comment on the reaction at the end, but I can already feel the disbelief lol. BTW, loving the look today!
This episode is so stressful I skip it on rewatch so it was nice to see together. At least we got the obligatory truck accident out of the way in episode 12 and not 15 as other kdramas. Don't worry, unlike other kdramas, this was the only frustrating episode and it didn't drag on like other shows with the angst. Can't wait to see your reaction to the next episode!
What I thought was pivotal about this backstory flashback is it let me know that you weren't meant to like Jiwon's choices in this episode but this was the 'fear' behind these choices. Even their 'argument' in the breakroom was childish from her standpoint because she hadn't gotten over being the child of a cheater. Jiwon can manage toxic, gaslighting with her eyes closed which is how she owned Yura in that dinner. Jihyuk ever the lost puppy in love, don't worry they aren't apart for long. Remembering the webtoon we have 2 deaths for fate to dish out and fates to spread around so karma is having a fun time juggling these 4 episodes to help flesh that out and get it in place so it might be irritating but necessary. Don't worry we can grit our teeth together.😊😄 Completely unrelated to the drama I love your hair.

I realized that Ji-Won's reaction to the whole situation wasn't unfounded, especially in addition to her mom's appearance in this episode. It really opened a lot of layers to her character for me and also put a light on how Ji-Hyuk's life took a turn with his dad cheating as well. It's really interesting to see how the similar actions of both their parents changed them in some way.
I didn't like this ep at first but after seeing the whole show I understand why the writers took this direction. As frustrating as I find her actions, I was reminded that healing from abuse isn't a linear path and that the survivor can and do act irrationally because they're overcorrecting. Still mostly skip this ep on rewatch though. Also you look amazing ❤
I think grandpa is just a bit off when it comes to judging character, he thinks yura is perfect for the company because of her 'confident-i-get-what-i-like-no-matter-what' kind of attitude, he's not realizing yet that she's evil
I think that's part of the problem for me also, like It was unnerving to watch how he was nonchalant about the whole situation with Yu-ra but I'm thinking to myself does he really not know anything about Yu-ra's personality because with all the digging and watching he does with Ji-hyuk I was expecting him to also keep a track on his future in law.....
Hmm to be honest I don't know, I did some research on it and the views are not promising but it could be a fun watch, I've never actually watched an old black & white movie 🥰
