  • To destroy/ break
What does God break? Is 45:1,2 To break gates of brass, the bars of iron. It is directed to Cyrus. The promise was made to Cyrus before he was even born (Is 44:28)
Nebuchadnezzar attacked Judah 3 times, burned down the cities, took many into exile. Prophet Jeremiah, prophesied 70 years of exile, after that return back to their homeland. Jer 25:11,12, Jer 29:10. 2 Chron 36:21.
Amongst the exiles, was Daniel. He read the words of Jeremiah in the scrolls. HE prayed and cried for liberation. Dan 9:2,3 After 70 years, a liberation was achieved by Cyrus’ hand. HE brought the kingdom of the Persians. HE initiated the rebuilding of the temple.
The final king of Babylon was Belteshazzar. He had a party used the holy vessels of God’s temple for drinking. God’s hand appeared and started writing on the wall. “I’ve weighed you and find you unfit for reigning. So Darius the Mede entered the gates of his palace and slew the king and his partygoers. That very night. Later the Medes and Persians merged and became one.
Cyrus declared the temple be rebuilt, under the leadership of Zerubbabel, Nehemiah and the team built the wall. Cyrus is not a Jew, but a gentile. God used and raised gentiles to benefit His people, Israel.
But it's not easy, the enemy hears the news of the temple rebuilding, and opposes. But that’s why God went before Cyrus to destroy every opposition, break bars of iron, to fulfill his destiny. No doors can remain closed before God. He will open all of them for His anointed to complete his mission. God will do the same for us to fulfill our ministry in this country.
Jesus went through the east gate of Jerusalem, on donkeys back, from Mt. of Olives. He rode in as a King, as prophesied in the prophets. But He was not accepted as so by the Jews, Romans. HE was led out the same east gate to be crucified on Golgotha. Today that door is still closed In Israel. Ezekiel has already prophesied it should be closed until Jesus returns. Ez 44:1-3. Jesus was whipped, scorned, and led to be crucified all at the east gate. Very soon, he will reenter as King, glorious, with his church. Ps 24:7-9. This psalm is a conversation between the angel leading Jesus’ cavalcade, to the angel at the east gate:, “open the gates!” The very place you are despised and struck down, you will return triumphant. Once God opens a door, the door can never close.
The Lord goes before us to establish us
Is 52:12. He will establish our jobs, our blessings, countering the threats of the evil one.

Ex 14:13, 14. At the red sea, it was battle.
Why did he make them go through the red sea?
    Recognizing Gods Purpose. - 5 RGP’s
So that the Egyptians know who Israel’s God is. Same question asked by Nebuchadnezzar to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Which God can deliver you? Dan 3:15, 29.
God’s people should know who their God is. Ex 14:30, 31 Able to deliver, lead them safely into the land.
5 winds against Paul during his ship trip to Rome:
    Contrary winds,
    Denying wind
    Deceiving wind
    Hurricane
    Terrible hurricane
In the end they landed in Malta. No reason to be there, looking logically. But God had a purpose, His name to be glorified on that island, defeat the snake spirit dwelling there. Why sea before us? So God’s purpose can be made manifest.
