- On March 19, 2018, the last full day of winter, the New York, Susquehanna & Western ran a plow extra on 23 miles of Utica branch track between Utica-Sangerfield, NY. We catch the plow first in Paris Station, Paris Hill's crest, then in Waterville and, finally, on the work train's return to Utica.
Very nice winter rail video.
That's one funky looking plow
Alright you guy's.
It's time to get serious about this snow.
Lets break out the plow.
Unusual looking rounded cupola for the operators on top of the Russell.
Great work and thanks for sharing.
They modified the wings, cupola, and the sides of the plow. It was originally a B&M plow.
Excellent video! Interesting plow! It looks like they kit bashed a Russell plow with a Jordan spreader! And that rounded top is very different! And once again GP40 3040 definitely earned her keep!
They modified the former B&M plow with diffrent wings, a diffrent cupola, and diffrent sides on the plow.
Maine Railfan© Quite unique looking!
The plow is a exB&M plow. NYS&W has two and they modified this one and possibly the other heavily with a diffrent cupola, diffrent wings, sides of the plow, and moved the flanger to the front of the plow like the CN/CP ones.
Great looking weather rail video.
Nice shots-great camera work too!
well impressed !.
How come they don't clear more snow out from between the rails? Won't the flange ways just fill with ice?
Top,da hora
Bit of overkill for a couple inches of snow isn’t it
