So I did the math, my current Animal Crossing: New Horizons save file is three times longer than the amount of time I had to make this Flick cosplay omg 😭 Join me as we make a really neat pair of red pants, talk about our Animal Crossing feelings, and scramble to become a gay lizard for a wonderful whirlwind of a sponsored build!! You absolutely nailed the vibe! I totally agree with you about hand stitching the patches. Reminded me of teenage punk me and my mates hurriedly stitching on patches before we went to gigs lol
Yes!! Oh my god it's such a specific vibe, it was really important to me to capture some of that even if the cosplay is still fairly cute haha

RIGHT! I bought mine at the tail end of 2018 because they'd initially slated ACNH for a 2019 release date, and I needed to be READY for the game whenever it dropped! 😭

What relatable vibes. I just finished sewing some pants this morning for a photoshoot I'm doing tomorrow. I do not like sewing pants, so I put them off till the very end. Your pants turned out so clean and beautiful! and that pattern matching?! Amazing.

EE THANK YOU!! The first time I got shots of Flick all together I was running late for D&D and only had time to get vertical video, so I went back and reshot the "reveal" stuff in horizontal format a bit later- and boy did the makeup turn out SO much better the second time!!

These pants are such an amazing example of craftsmanship. But can I just take a second away from the pattern matching (which YES, I LOVE it) and acknowledge the simple brilliance of making the plaid and just ROTATING IT so you had a diagonal on grain???? Like, it's so obvious and yet it hadn't ever occurred to me to just design the fabric that way?
Yes!! It made actually cutting the pattern SO much easier!

This may be a dumb question but how did you know where to cut it to line up the plaid perfectly?
What size did you make your canvas in Photoshop when you designed your pattern? I'm trying to teach myself how to sew to make clothes and cosplays for myself and the idea to design my own fabric patterns never crossed my mind!
