@@hensinks Well Radahn has been beaten 0 damage/no hit by some players allready. They used Parrying. But Ongbal is not trying to beat the bosses he is trying to create an incredible show while beating them. Thats why it takes a bit longer

@@kerr354 TBH they are certainly talented but obviously this isn't their first play throughs. You need to study the boss extensively, know its attack patterns, know where it leaves openings and for how long etc.
@@Navhkrin that's why they have so little HP,, so you just get one shot. In theory they could've just used that character the whole time and make it one playthrough technically. But that's just tortorous, you still need to know where the fragments and routes are
"solid of scale you might be foul dragon... But i will riddle with holes your rotten hide! With a hail of harpoons! With every last drop of my being!" This fight hits different with Igon accompanying you, it gets very personal lol
@@warcoder you need to summon and keep him alive from what I've seen, you can still get his stuff and the dragon priestess's stuff but they'll just be bodies and the quest will no longer be available to continue
I love the little details, like the fact that he's smashing you with broken bone or the fact that you can still see Placidusax's heads clamped onto his neck

Ongbal is the Soulslike goat not just because of his ability to completely download and dismantle bosses, but being able to do it in style. He used like eight different ways of dealing damage here and finished the boss with the literal "dragonslayer katana" like fuck outta here and leave some skill for the rest of us

@@yourlocalhuman3526 He can be parried. I just didn't think to try since the OG version in the base game is immune, but the DLC boss you can parry. It's very very hard though because of how many different fast attacks he has!

He surprise attacked him tho hence the keyword “assail” mention by the dragon priest but yes still he is strong af he only lost a leg while placi lost 2 heads

I completely agree, like every single boss has such an amazing OST, Rellana, Dancing Lion, Midra, Messmer, Bayle, even the NPC battle OST sounds really good

@@roohni2226Ongbal literally just did a fully charged attack everytime Bayle heads lowered. And I also uses the Dragon hunter Katana ash of war fully charged too and its not really an issue.
"Bosses have no openings" is my favorite because Ongbal shows that every boss has plenty of clear openings if you're good enough. People really expected a DLC full of super bosses to be as easy as the base game they've had two years to learn.

I beat Bayle the dread yesterday on ng+6, with 2 summons, a whole weekend spent on it, and all i got for it for a gigantic migraine. You are truly different.

@@sure5783it’s not unlimited but it is a lot. He does Greyoll’s roar too which should give Bayle a debuff to damage and defense if he’s close enough.

Hesitation means death in the dlc. I love it and the final fight was awesome.
As a certain old man said, "Hesitation is Defeat. You lose when you hesitate." Ongbal took that advice to heart.

People have done it and it seems the go-to strat is just constant parrying to prevent any of the not so well designed attacks from happening.
