  • Michael Viner's Incredible Bongo Band already has its place in music history thanks to a funky rendition of "Apache" that helped shaped the world of hip hop. If that cut floats your boat, you need the full album. Both of them. Off of their 1st LP release is the title track "Bongo Rock" with "Bongolia" on the flip. Both cuts have that same funky grooviness that permeates "Apache", and are well worth the buck or two you can still find this record for. Enjoy. :)

Videos like this inspire me to start my own music postings. The record has writing on it when it should be pristine (I think I have 3 copies of this record with no label blemishes). The sound is flat instead of conveying the dynamics that comes from this particular 45. In summary, one of the greatest 45s ever released deserves a better showcase.

I think you should try and create.
I appreciate that you have a different approach 🙏. Hope you enjoy the content we provide. We're having fun listening and hope people can enjoy the music with us.

@@theoldschoolarchives - One of my hesitations all of these years is the number of comments I hear from people who are hassled by YT for copyright infringement. What has been your experience? I also thought someone said that you cannot make any money from music postings because all proceeds go to owner. So even though you may take the time to record a video presentation, you receive nothing for the effort. Is that true?

In the literal sense, yes. You do not make money on copyrighted material made by others. We post record vids on YT because we love the music. So much so we also have radio streams playing reggae and soul for everyone who wants to listen. We pay out of pocket to do that with no returns. We do this so we can communicate with other people who love the music, because that's what's real. We make a little money from merch, but we make a lot of friends and supporters from the music. That's where our priorities lie, and so far our experience has been pretty awesome. :)
