I have one of these but all black with blue vz grips in 45. And i love it. Gonna have to add this 10mm to the list eventually.. i'd love an all stainless. congrats on your retirement.

But that DE1911G10 is definitely the nicest 1911 on the market, and everything on it looks like it has been costume made. I've seen a $3,000 Wilson combat 1911 that wasn't even close to being as nice as your DE1911G10. That DE must be pretty rare, because I can't find one anywhere, your a lucky man!

Whoa! Off topic. I noticed one of the Crows behind you, the trident with lightning bolt. Weapons Technician. That's what I did when I was on the Enterprise (CVN-65). That job rating was phased out in 1995 after the removal of tactical nuclear weapons from our arsenals. Many people don't know that until the early 90's, all aircraft carriers carried nuclear bombs. 3 different models, the B57, B43, and B61. I helped maintain part of that stockpile. It's great seeing that somewhere else besides my closet.
Yes indeed I was a WT and served on the Enterprise from 86-90. I was W-Div LPO for a while and Fwd and Aft Mag supervisor. If yer an ex WT you need to join the NNWA. We just had our reunion in Ok City in early Oct.
Have you shot hard cast through it ? I am torn between this and the Sig P220 SA/DA for my woods gun. The sig also comes with x-ray night sights. Thoughts ?

several CZcams videos for changing mag release on a 1911 but unfortunately this .10mm's slide is not cut for a thumb safety on the right side of the slide.
Would've been nice to see you take it down. You didn't seem to know much about it for a pistol that belongs to you. I think as a CZcams personality you'd make a great History teacher.
Ive had it for almost two years now and have put about 600 rounds through it without a flaw. A masterpiece of a firearm and so fun to shoot. Very accurate. Ive taken it hog hunting and it puts a hog down in quick order.
Bul Armory makes great 1911s I was not aware they made one in 10mm they are known for their double stack 1911 competition pistols

No I haven't shot hard cast through it. Either gun I don't think you could go wrong with. Happy shooting.
If you take that back strap off the Glock just run it straight it’ll shorten that grip up.... that’s what I do with mine and I got large hands....
