Love how complex and strange the emotion of “cringe” seems to be. It’s scary, disgusting, funny, and enraging- all at the same time. A mental paradox.
Never thought of it like this but you’re totally right😂
The fact that as a child I was so blown away by the clearly horrible dancing from shows and movies. 🥴🥴😭😭

In my opinion, Tess’ “Whatever, major loser” hand gesture was the most cringeworthy thing in that _Camp Rock_ scene.
Ugh...I remember when all the girls in my class were doing that for months....I was clueless about the source for forever and it drove me crazy cuz I was a poor kid in Canada without access to cable tv (& that meant no Disney channel lol. Basically just Canadian PBS-equivalent public channels still aired traditionally thru the 2000's)
Elementary school-age kids parroting their own schoolyard memes multiple times an hour is one thing I don't miss about my childhood lol.
I honestly hated I usually just change channels when I see something that I know is going to be cringe-worthy every time even before I've seen the scene itself 🤦🏻♀️

Euphoria isn’t a movie it’s a series
Euphoria is not targeted at teens in the slightest.

Raven is the only one out of those 3 that were technically part of the 90s babies era....Those other two are too new to be considered a classic.

My mom wouldn’t let me watch austin and ally because “Austin just sings his problems away and that’s not how real life works”

True thats prob the only thing where is not cringe but the rest of the movie mmm😬
Facts
I loved that movie! But, not anymore.
true
The twirl on the golf course scene was worse than that 😂 actually the whole montage of that song is weird
This is from a generation I miss more than I think. Best times imo
I think the "T as in Troy?" was more of a rethorical question than Gabriela actually wondering what it meant. It was like saying "Aww, you gave me a necklace with the letter T, from your name 🥰" more than "Hmm, what could the T really stand for? 🤔". That makes it less cringe.
Yeah I didn’t personally find it cringy at all. And if you think about it, they might have it in their because kids were mainly their audience. Like, just stating it for the young children, you know? Idk how to explain it, but I feel like the reason we don’t find things cringy as a kid but as an adult is because this was MADE for kids, with kids in mind , so over the top acting works for you more as a child, but not as an adult (as in it’s more engaging for you because you think it’s funny).
@@snowflakeedits05 True 👌🏼
I think it’s more cringe-y that he chose to give someone a necklace with his initial. Lol instead of one with hers.
@@TheSlipperyNUwUdle Really? I think it’s more romantic. That way she always has a piece of him with her, or she can look at that necklace and think of him. I think that’s what the writers were going for.

Ok, it’s not the “dance” during the keyboard scene that’s cringey, it’s the 1980s-video-game piano jam sesh afterwards

It's actually kind of interesting to see casting choices vs the final product. Clearly the casting dept picked Allison Stoner in Camp Rock for her dancing, but the dept that wrote the movie didn't actually include any good choreography for her lmao
That’s my biggest beef with that movie! Allison Stoner was known for being in Missy Elliot’s videos and performing with her, and now she’s known for that ridiculous movie where they used none of her talents. Like whyyy did they do that to her 😂
I can't believe Gabriella singing "TRROOOYYY" in hsm3 wasn't included 💀

The Suite Life Movie one isn't cringe, it's funny. Dylan and Cole were being exaggerated versions of the show's characters. And Cody had already been described as crushing on inanimate objects, like Callie the ship's smart system and apparently his calculator...
It was wholesome
I’m sure it was supposed to be cringe. It’s what made his character

The movie was trash. Be real.
@@TodoDekuOTP it wasn't the best movie, but it gave Cole a lot of practice to take crappy writing and actually make it digestible. Gave him a headstart for working on Riverdale.
In my opinion, Tess’ “Whatever, major loser” hand gesture was the most cringeworthy thing in that Camp Rock scene.😁😁
I’m pretty sure Gabriella’s question was rhetorical 😑 As for Troy, he looked more embarrassed than ‘caught off guard.’ Also for the keyboard scene, Kaitlyn *was* really good, considering not everyone can play with their arms behind their back at that speed, if at all. Also a lot of those moves she did were with the style and ‘vibes’ of that time. They may be cringe if someone did it now, but they weren’t then. As for the Hilary Duff scenes in Lizzie & Cadet Kelly-yeah those weren’t even impressive back then lmfao, those deserved a spot on here.

“Hopping foot to foot waving a ribbon”🤣🤣🤣
The smile Gabriella has on "t as in Troy" gives me "t an I'm Troy's property now, how retrograde" sarcasm vibes 🤭
The Dance-off from "Cadet Kelly": It was embarrassing and nostalgic (for me at least).
Cringe to the extreme! Lol but I still love them.
I never saw that movie!
@Sarah: No, that is the song they use in the movie for that scene. I always thought it was a good song choice because that is the height of their frustration with each other and each kind of things the other is crazy so the song fits well in my opinion.
There's definitely some chemistry there between then. Haha
@@SKJ1616 The song here was what was originally in the movie when it aired. Now on Disney+ they have some other random song and it makes the scene WAY more cringey - I'm surprised that wasn't included here since it is so awful. The original song fit pretty well, I'm so sad it was changed

I thought the same - like he even talks about how he programmed her and could adjust all that. It was the whole point lol - not cringey
For “Notice Me” especially, it felt in tune with what she was singing about. She’ll do anything for the subject of the song to notice her, like do an impossible flip 🤣 Didn’t think it was that hard to understand. Ugh. I loved that movie!
EXACTLY!
So uh.. there actually is a reallofe hologram popstar called hatsune miku, and most of the time she does dance normally on stage. Just some songs include her flying while getting wings etc. So I don't think its an excuse?

Radio Rebel was cringe indeed (especially "this look", lmao, no wonder it won) but just wanted to say: it was very important for my younger self that Disney made a movie about a shy teenager because I was a shy kid and 1) has never seen a character who was at least close to my level of shyness 2) no one around me had any idea about how shyness works

The reason life with Derek isn't on Disney+ is because Disney does not own the rights, not because of the semi cringy relationship between Casey and Derek. I know I know Disney doesn't own everything yet. Shocking!

Truth be told, I get a cringy moment from pretty much every form of kids media that I've ever watched. Remember the whole "Maya likes Lucas because she's trying to be like Riley" BS? Or forced love triangles like that in general? Or how Disney Channel won't allow their actors to kiss since like 2011? They either had to randomly block the actors or make them look like they kissed in a different camera angle. Or how the writers try so hard to be hip, that they force a poor inexperienced kid actor to recite a line I'm pretty sure kids from today wouldn't say. All of that is cringe, but that's everywhere in kids stuff!
Have you watched The Clique movie?
@@shimmer4771 never saw it. How bad is it?
@@AJ-xc4qe It's not a Disney movie, but it was good. The cringe was the bullying and the girl's crying as a result. So sad.
Disney Channel had this weird habit -and maybe it's just particular prolific screenwriters or something. But they lean into this stereotype trope of the creepy obsessed kid with a crush that invades your privacy and does really shady things like sneak into your room and cut a lock of hair while you sleep or collect toenail clippings from your trash but they play it as comedy funny and it's just unsettling to me that they try to normalize this stereotype. I watched the main character in Mighty Med go from boy with a secret crush in that show to "I know I'm a creep" in the Lab Rats spin off. The trope is used for one of the two main characters in Pair of Kings as well and A.N.T. Farm until the character (played by same actor from Mighty Med) stopped crushing in the final season in which he was ultimately written out of the the show. And I know this trope has been used in other Disney shows as well to varying degrees.
