5:40 I JUST had that realization too. Growing up with 4c hair, I always thought because my hair felt so rough that it had to be handled in a rough way, but actually you have to be very gentle with your hair. It shouldn’t hurt that bad to do your hair

I just seen a video with a lady with waist length natural hair, put a protein treatment in her hair and it broke off, and what was left became matted and knotted. I try to only wash once week & thats when I usually moisturize and on my wash & go days I put alot of leave in condish & oil. I have been rocking protective styles for 2 months Now. Still i shed from roots.
@@SheLives4Jesus hi Ahshante! For the tea rinse you can use green or black tea. If you have a lot of shedding use black tea. You brew the tea, allow it to cool down, and then spray it on your scalp and hair. Put a plastic cap on for about 15-20 minutes, rinse it out, and then deep condition. You put it on after shampooing your hair. What is your hair type?
@@SheLives4Jesus as far as moisturizing if you live in a dry climate you have to moisturize daily or every other day. You can buy a refresher spray, use a liquid leave in, or make one (1 cup distilled water, 2 tablespoons of a leave in, and 1 tablespoon of a light oil). Are you low or high porosity? As far as the pre poo you can use a good penetrating oil a few hours before shampooing your hair. It helps because shampoo is very stripping no matter what kind of shampoo you use. Babussu oil and coconut oil are really good for pre poo. I’m low porosity and. my hair hates coconut oil. I use babussu and African pride pre shampoo.
