- In honour of the announcement, concerning the termination of production both of these off-road legends, we set out in the Giant Mountains in the Czech Republic, to say goodbye to both of the cars. While Land Rover Defender “died“ on January 29, 2016, so in February 2016 the producer of UAZ reported that Hunter will continue in production. Enjoy the ride with us, and the view on these great off-road vehicles.

The video is great in that it compares both cars in terms of factory-mentioned specifications and performance but it would have been great had you shown a real comparison of their offroad capabilities. The presentation is really great, though. Wish to see more in the near future.
Funny thing is, I live in the town of where Land Rovers are from and where they are based and made, but my grandpa was a Spetsnaz colnell and he drove a UAZ hunter with the Soviet military. I also play PUBG so I think the UAZ gets a reputation from there

Tried to buy a hunter here in Poland,....strange Prices for New....then tried to buy a Patriot diesel...was told they cannot be imported new. (in UK it is possible as a personal import to bring any car in the world) again ???? also the price was strange?? I was on a forum and a Ukrainian Guy told me that $ 11,000 will buy a new patriot.......Polish company asked 3 x that amount??? Why can nobody be honest east of Berlin?

While land rover has lost the defender name to a shopping mom's refrigerator on wheels, the UAZ hunter is still preserving it's name. They realise the importance of a simple rugged utilitarian vehicle with solid axles that too for an affordable price. Especially for places where 3rd world conditions exist.

don't take it.the Russian automobile industry in comparison with the Soviet one is complete shit if you want an SUV take UAZ 3151 or uaz469 but for reliability and comfort it will have to be modified

ПАРНИ, ПРИВЕТ ИЗ РОССИИ! УАЗ 469 спроектированный в 1970 годах, изначально был коммандирским автомобилем который мог передвигаться в составе ТАНКОВОЙ КОЛОННЫ! Со временем что-то изменили, а УАЗ ОСТАЛСЯ тем самым УАЗиком который никогда не подведёт! У меня такой уже 23 года. ВСЕ ОК!

Repaired and rebuilt many Land Rovers ⛽ and diesel.. biggest problems are the petrol and rust to the chassis and front windscreen surrounding

after watching this video i felt a biased russian influence here as the engine was bigger in the russian vehicle .
however if you like the vehicle you buy it and using words like " homologated " is asinine .
why ? well as none of these vehicles except the road racing car the subaru is homologated .
your interpretation of a potential race vehicle is flawed from the start .
with the defender you have options . did you even look at them ?
the uk land rover defender is often breaking down but so what it is an old style offroad car .
the russian vehicle is also offroad and better for its own russian cold enviroment .
unlike the defender which is totally shit poop bad in the extreme cold . you need to warm up the engine with a heater for it to start .
the russian vehicle is very uncomfortable to drive in general even on a flat road .
the defender is a truck on the road not fast or quick to accelerate .
these vehicles are icons in offroad travel but in their own right .
this homologated idea in the description is bullshit . none of them are any good at any race in particular .
the toyota is more reliable suitable and in the same price range .
you will have to buy spare parts for these cars whichever one you buy .
so why not do a review of the cheapest parts to replace or easier to repair instead .
as both are practical vehicles for a farm not a road .

..the landy is a GRT vehicle sad it come to an end the defender but it was becoming to expensive for it's target market only Chelsea housewifes could afford... British farmers,notice I wrote British farmers not English farmers used to buy Isuzu vehicles because they were cheap and reliable unlike all the other makes...back when I was a child all cars were shite bad electrics,poor brakes,crap engines and rust buckets the worst for rusting were Datsuns they were terrible...I remember me friends parents had a Audi 100 estate it was terrible will it start will it get us home...and of course we had Skoda jokes even ladas and yugos were worse..why does a Skoda have rear heated windows,so that you can keep your hands warm while pushing it 🤗.. terrible joke or what do you call a convertible Skoda,a Skip 🤔😉......what fuel was being used during well🤔was it red diesel because the shite coming out the back was like the old buses back in the Day that was reason why so many buildings back in 60s/70s Britain were Black it was the sooty fuel what should of been a beautiful neo classical Georgian reproduction was black instead of sandstone colour so these buildings were sandblasted during the 80s/90s...wanted to see off road stuff going on...in Bulgaria it's the Lada Riva and little Suzuki samurai off roaders that sell well I do see Ukrainian/Russian type vehicles one was ripe for a camper conversion it was a ex Russian military vehicle and it was a comms unit it was built like a tank I could imagine the Russian signal Men in the back airfiltered from everything in this mobile command and control unit it was brilliant rough Yes but amazing chance of havin a GRT campervan 👍after conversion...my older brother who was in the Royal signals probably would of been in the British version... unfortunately this Russian vehicle was just rotting away in the Bulgarian countryside.... maybe I should put a warning before people read my comment,make a coffee/tea and make yourself comfortable haha...there's so many wacky vehicles out there and there the ones that do it for me,tractors I love give me a tractor and I'm happy for life....🇬🇧🇷🇺🚜🚜🚜.....
