    The four Dharmic - Indic beliefs (Hinduism-Buddhism-Jainism-Sikhi) native to the land of Bharat share ideas of Karma, Dharma, Samsara, Moksha, and Yoga.
    These religions share many similarities in core beliefs, modes of worship, and associated practices with 'Om' being the highest energy source. Ek Omkar. 🕉
    In Buddhism 'Dhamma' is the Prakrit word for the Sanskrit word Dharma, in Jainism, the word "Dharma" is termed as 'dharmastikaay' and In Sikhism it is called 'Dharam'.....
    Today all 4 are fighting for survival of their customs, architecture and temples in India 🙏

      Hindus borrowed a lot from Vedic religion and Buddhism.
      Dhamma turning into Dharma.
      Theravada Buddhism rejects of all Vedic religion followed by modern Hinduism.

      Hindu scriptures don't consider Jainism and Buddhism as Dharma. Only Buddhists follow Dharma; the majority of Hindus follow Brahmavad, especially in the cow belt.
      Jainism is based on suicide, is anti-human, and doesn't want to survive. Brahmavadi also now a days followss many Jains teachings.
      The majority of Hindu temples were only for Brahmins, and even now they are only for Brahmavadi. Customs keep changing, from beef eating to cow worship, Sati to no Sati, breast tax on non-Brahmins also gone, ayurvedic diet is getting replaced with Brahmanical Satvic diet, having two wives if you own a cow is gone, every non-Brahmins woman has to spend the first 3 days of her marriage with a Bahmin is gone.

    Devdutt Pattnaik is always a joy to watch.We know most of what is told by him but there is always his special touch to the topics.
    I have a question to Patnaik about nudity in Mouryan Buddhist art.
    Why the Buddhist Stupas have sculptured panels where female figures are always depicted with frontal nudity?Even the so called royal figures are depicted in the same way.This is only with female figures,not male.
    In the panel depicting King Ashoka and his queen/s(at Sannati/Kanaganahalli stupa,K'taka)all female figures are frontally nude.Such nudity is prominently seen on Sanchi main gate way arch and few other stupas..
    I asked many and tried to find an explanation in the books but failed to get an answer.
    Was it just related to aesthetics?

    Wooden architecture is still preserved in Kerala architecture. Mauryan wooden and pre-Mauryan era architecture would be somewhat similar to that.

    • @gangadharhiremath7306
      @gangadharhiremath7306 Před 17 dny

      But how old is Kerala wooden architecture?Can't be more than 1000-1200 years old.

    • @RedDragon770
      @RedDragon770 Před 15 dny

      @@gangadharhiremath7306 Kerala wooden tradition stem from older wooden building tradition, it's a kind of wooden joinery technique without the use of nail. Wooden buildings were imitated in stone later like in Ajanta and Ellora. Wooden building techniques are best preserved in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Nepal and Sri Lanka and are living tradition of old pre-stone architecture.

      Where did they got the deities from why did they copied Vedic deities like Indra
      Modern day Hinduism is mixed with tribal Dravidian and tantricism and other regional cultures
      Offcourse when non vedic religions started appearing in mahajanpadas period they influenced each other vegetarianism was added into Hinduism otherwise Vedic aryanism included animal sacrifices (still happens)
      The core of Hinduism is still the Vedic Aryan culture which came in 1500BC mixed with the native Indus valley culture we still have those older pre Vedic cultures from indus valley like goddess worshipping fertility goddess , animism, tree worshipping (the sacred peepal tree)
      So Hinduism is more influenced with tribal regional cultures but still have that deep Aryan sanskritized core you'll know if you travel all around india

    He is ignorant about Hindu dharma culture & civilisation. His views are only his speculative arguments, not truth. Only thing good about him is that he is a good speaker. So it is better not to waste time on such speakers & rather call real intellectuals, who knows our dharma.
    Because at the end, the next gen will be confused instead of being educated with your efforts & your efforts would come to nought.

      Intellectuals will say eat beef and then Brahmavadi will not like it. If he is not intellectual then who is. Hindu is not a civilization. Majority of Hindus do not follow dharma but follow brahmavad.
