I came here after watching "Ali and Nino" film listening to the soundtract of the movie many time. I am so glad he has won the award and that film producer chose him!
It's fucking criminal that Jonny Greenwood didn't get nominated let alone win. Nobody cares about some stupid rules, he literally changed the way music could be used in film.

There Will Be Blood had a better score than all of these films combined and it wasn’t even nominated. Wow. Greenwood better win for Phantom Thread or else there will be blood(pun intended).
There have been others. I haven t heard by Jerry Goldsmith such as Patton. I haven t heard from Jammes Horner may he rest in peace. What about Hanz Zimmer or any other. Not necessary an oscar winner but a memmorable one
The soundtrack for Atonement added so much emotion to a film that already has such a strong impact (at least for me). Simply amazing.
