  • In this video we discuss how to find land to fly your hawks, what makes good and bad land permission and all of the risks involved. I am very lucky that i have permission to fly my birds on 5 different farms all surrounding my aviaries but finding land permission and finding hunting permission is something many people do struggle with.
There is many things you need to look out for when on the hunt for land, making sure it is a suitable location that minimizes risks. You need to make sure the land is set up, or you are able to set it up in a way that matches your specific goals and wants with your hawk. And then I reveal the very complicated method to actually getting permission on a piece of land (that was sarcastic by the way, its actually very simple!).

    Hi.
Just wanted to say thank you for your videos.
A relative kept Harris Hawks and owls when I was a child so I had some, albeit limited, experience. I volunteered with a falconry centre whilst abroad around 2 years ago and then, around 6 months ago I decided to take the plunge and become a falconer myself.
I purchased books, watched endless videos, started buying all the equipment and built an aviary with a weathering/mews on the side.
I was fortunate enough to be given a permission on almost 150 acres of land not too far from where I live, which is a mix of woodland and open fields, so I was set to go!
Then finally, 3 weeks ago, I welcomed my beautiful Harris Hawk and am thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Your videos are absolutely brilliant and are my go to when I’m looking for clarity and guidance, so again, thank you!
Just headed over to TikTok to give you a follow! 👍🏼👍🏼

Thank you so much for this, it was very helpful! I am looking into starting falconry, and one of the things I have been considering is hunting land. I am mostly surrounded by thick woods and open cornfields, and there are several areas that look promising, but one of the biggest problems is locating the owner's house or mailbox! 😂

Hey! I really enjoy your videos and I am very interested in hawking, but I think the quality of your videos would put some people off and prevent you from gaining more popularity online. I think that it would be relatively simple and easy to remedy most of the problems though. I would recommend investing in some studio lights, they could be ring lights or any other kind of light with a stand. Next, I think you probably should invest in a lapel microphone. Audio quality is key to making videos pleasant to watch/listen to. After that I would say that you should probably buy a slightly better camera, this one is mostly optional though as your video is already sufficiently high quality. Finally, I would tone down the volume of your intro. I can say with confidence that the music is far too loud and it would be an easy fix! I hope that this was helpful! And thank you for making these great videos!

The productions are MORE than satisfactory, its not the BBC, we come for the information and knowledge, channels take time to grow, quality studio equipment isnt that cheap, especially if you have other expenses.👍🏻
