    I really enjoy watching your skills and ingenuity at work. If you ever consider selling the parts needed for this swap as a kit for those of use less fortunate of having such skills and tools and I will definitely buy!

    Great video, and thanks for including the parts list. I've got several tube frame Buells and just bought my first XR1200X. The front wheel swap seem like a good mod. I'm enjoying your channel. Little bit of shop work, little bit of machining, little bit of riding. It's a great combination. Take care.

    Great video...very informative, glad you are liking the 17" conversion, i know it made a big difference in the way my bike handles, I also noticed you painted the pushrod tubes and the tops of the rocker boxes black, that's a good look for the bike.
    Well Done, Keep up the good work. Regards

      Thanks Roy, I do like the way it handles now. I bet the Marchesini wheels like you have would be excellent. Yep, after seeing your bike I had to do some more paint work.

    I believe the Buell S2 had Marchesini wheels,.which would be lighter than a stock XR wheel, and in 17 inch size also.

    Very cool, didn't know the Buell front wheel fitted... With some fiddling. Being a tri-spoke wheel it doesn't look all that out of place at all. Awesome vid!

    Dude! You and I must have been separated at birth! I have a ‘10 XR1200 that I put a set of BST carbon fiber wheels on (17” front) and a 1948 Ford 8n that I’ve followed your videos for help over the years. I’m guessing you’re the kinda guy I’d drink a beer with! 😂

    Thanks for the video. I still have the 18" front on mine but it's a custom-laced Akront aluminum rim with Buchanan stainless spokes on a Storz hub. It also has the 320mm front rotors (IIRC) with the spacer blocks to move the calipers out. I have to run a tube which is a PITA but it looks good LOL

      I love the look of these bikes with the spoke wheels.

    Hey i might be showing my lack of understanding here, lol but are you sure that front tire is on in the right direction? When I first watched it , I thought something was wrong and now that I have looked at several other tires it really looks backwards. But again I am not sure.

    • @xpsgarage
      @xpsgarage  Před 5 měsíci +2

      I agree it does look backwards, but according to the direction arrows on the tire it's installed correctly.
