What I love about this is that it shows us how comfortable they feel with their masters. They treat their masters as masters but at the same time they treat them as friends. We can also see that Qianqian and Han Shou also see them as friends because when Bai Ji and Zi Rui are teasing them they do not reprimand or punish them like how other masters would instead they glare at them like how you would glare at your friend if they were teasing you about your relationship.

I can understand chuchu. First of all, she does not know she's adopted. Growing up all she craved was her mother's approval and love which seems so easily given to QQ. And then she kept telling herself, which is echoed by others, "mother is hard on you because she expects great things from you." But then, mother gives the young city master title to QQ who never worked hard and cheated through the competition. This shit is heartbreaking for chuchu.
