That's the end sadly but Luton deserves an appreciation for giving other premier league clubs a hard time. Salute to the hatters🎩
Slightly disjointed at the back but who can blame them when we have suffered so many injuries this season. In the first half of the season we hardly went a single game without having somebody leave the field before half-time. I'm extremely proud of our performance against 19 other teams who have much bigger player budgets than we have, but as I said at the start of the season, we are a club in the middle of a building project. Building a new stadium and building a team that will one day be able to compete with these Premier League clubs. The gap between Premier League and Championship grows wider each year. It will be interesting to see how Ipswich fair. We did ourselves a favour in getting a taste of Premier League football this season. We will take the hard lessons learned and one day we will be back. That first half against Liverpool in February shall be my abiding memory of this Premier League visit.
And once again, much thanks to Bournemouth FC for the collective work and attitude during the Tom Lockyer crisis in December, we wish you well.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Morris scored every penalty he's taken since the play off final last year. Excellent penalty taker
We are all proud of you Luton Town Football Club. We've had a great year in the PL and we go again next season in the Championship, stronger, more experienced and better for our time in the PL. Come on you hatters. We know this is not our last time in the PL.
Its sad to see Luton go back down but at least the fairytale was amazing and mabe you guys can come back stronger hope too see you guys back in 2 seasons or 1❤😢

Well the fantastic journey in the Premier league has come to an end but the thrills and spills have been something. No excuses we were out of our depth and we all knew that when we went up but the team, management, the board and most of all the fans have made this a wonderful year for many. To the other fans who gave us moral support I thank you and to those who didn’t you can now enjoy life without us. We only got 26 points. Forest got 36 without their deduction. You could argue that Forest breaking the rules helped them gain points on the pitch but 26 points just isn't enough to survive. Our depth of squad was weak and I am beginning to think our overall fitness may have been lacking. The players that came in to cover for all the injuries should NOT be tired because they are all used to playing a 46 game season so I never really bought that explanation during the season that they were dead on their feet forced to play continuous back to back games because of the injuries. Most of the players that came in to cover for injuries barely played for the first three months. Rob Edwards doesn't have top flight experience and that also went against us. If he goes back up with us hopefully he will have more of what will be needed in the Prem plus a bit more luck with people staying injury free but we need alot more sharpness all around and that may well come from what happens in fitness training during pre season and during the season. I think the board also needed to take a little bit more of a gamble on buying more expensive players and strike that fine line between doing that and what they did which to be honest left us just short. We cannot go back up with this have a go, little small town mentality, the little quirky Kenny boys, we have to have a bit more than that despite still wanting to keep it real and keep the club stable. We still need to be 100% behind our players and our manager and show all our support, loyalty and appreciation but also we need to demand a bit more if we come back up. To be honest we tried to stay up with at least half a squad of League 1 players.
A brilliant analogy. Some absolutely woeful defending cost us at crucial moments and some questionable tactics in certain games may have been the difference between relegation and survival. However, we were punching way above our weight and although we really gave it everything it just wasn't anywhere near enough at this level. Next season will be an interesting one as I suspect we'll lose a lot of key players but onwards and upwards nonetheless! COYH
