For whatever reason, CZcams recommended I watch this again and wow...those first Gan Robots were SLOW! Just a few months later and the Gan Robot can do 5-sec solves.
Letâs say I wanted to practice specifically OLL, can you make the robot scramble to a random OLL state, or even a single state randomly chosen from a user selected subset of OLL states? That would be super useful to me.

Does app give notation after robot solves? If not, it's seems to be only a scrambler. Can it scramble to a desired scramble? Meaning the same scramble for a tourney, then another scramble for next round. All contestants on equal playing field.
Any. I go over them in a comparison video. Of those I have actually used some other ones as well like the MeiLong M at competitions. Your times maze zero difference. I donât know what would be best for âyouâ as that depends on what you prefer. Check my comparison from about a couple months ago.

Not necessarily. Itâs good to know how to scramble well, however, if you want to feel like a competition, receiving a scrambled puzzle can help create that experience. This could make the practice be more effective as it mimics the real experience.

Can this robot scramble it to the expected position I want? I mean, I want it to scramble in such a way that it solves all bottom two layers and except the layer? So that I can practice repeatedly solving the top layer?
If it's symmetrical and slightly elongated oval shape, it's USB C, if it has a flat side with ridges and one rounded side, it's Micro USB. If it's ancient and outdated, it's most likely Mini USB.
Just got the robot, a GAN 356 M, replacement center caps to make the cube compatible with the robot. I can't figure out a way to make the robot scramble the cube, even though it connects just fine to the app. Anyone find a work around for this? My main and only goal is to have the robot randomly scramble for me.
@@SpeedCubeReview All 5 arms are connected. I can't find the function in the app to scramble the non-smart cube. The robot is connect and will twist arms a little when it connects. The app is in "robot mode." I go to Personal Training -> Algorithm Scramble. Options are to "connect gan356i" or "quickly solve non-smart cube". The second option wants you to take pictures of the faces of the cube. Is there a function that allows random scrambling of the non-smart cube? Thank you for your help

At the moment I would say it's not. I'm struggling to get it to work with the newer application at the moment too. It's fun to use but nothing that I think is worth it over a new puzzle.
These are hands-down the worst electronic devices I've ever owned. The robot keeps miss-turning generating an error in the app, resulting in having to solve the cube yourself and then have it try to rescramble. Or, my fav, is when it supposedly successfully scrambles, but then when you solve it, the app still thinks you haven't. The cube is the worst Gan cube yet it's the most expensive. It's just bad. Anyone on CZcams reviewing this is only saying even slightly good things about it because they received for free from Gan. If you buy it (like I did), you're not going to be happy. Thankfully, I bought both from Amazon and it was returned 24 hours later.
Also I have a Rubik's connected. Trying to get this thing and it's app to stop menstruating and just work with my cube is a nightmare. It's literally a nightmare. The whole scanning the sides thing is impossible bcuz the camera is going backwards so the direction your hands are moving the cube in don't translate to the screen at all I move the cube to the left and the screen shows the cube moving 5° north by northwest .... A huge part of me (don't say ass) wants to be told I'm a weirdo and it's simple all u gotta do is this and that.
So it only works with the Gan smart cube... Lame So the robot is 200 bucks maybe less. Then the cube is 70or80 bucks on top of that. Hell no... Who had close to 300 bucks to spend on speed cubes..u know how much stuff I can get for just a100$ towards speedcubing. You have got to be crazy to waste money on this thing and that smart cube. Giiker does the same thing, and it's fine to solve with..

Think of a solve where you donât do D moves. That can often happen.

The robot does not solve the cross, or solve like F2L. I was using that as an explanation how much of time, we as cubers actually only turn 5 sides.

No need for U moves. It solves and scrambles with RLFB and D moves. It can match what the regular scramble is.
SpeedCubeReview I saw a video of someone just do a U move and it did a sequence of moves the achieve the same thing
