  • Hey, my beautiful people. Recently I played my album launch concert in London and I was so busy that I forgot to do my usual routine for stress release I have been practising since 2019. My brain froze and I forgot my own lyrics! This situation inspired me to record this video and I hope it will also help you! Let me know if you have any other ways of releasing stress before your shows!

thank you, reeeeeally agree with all that, I see that the second one is a good one too but for me it works better the first one. For some reasons thinking about the people that came for me makes me also feel a bit of pressure that kinda will I be enough for their expectations. Thing to work on but yes. when I concentrate on find my balance I usually feel more myself, ready, and relaxed.

It's a very personal thing of course! For me imagining that they love me works miracles hahahahah I am like, well there's only love and good energy there :D but I can imagine this can also trigger some people. Do you use any specific meditation?

@@JOULIEFOXvlog I usually concentrate on music. Try to focus attention on celebrate music and show how much beauty there is in that and try to make distance from my ego and self judging.

    Joulie: Interesting...
I wonder what your thoughts are concerning the idea that people need a certain amount of stress in order to perform well? Not too much stress, obviously(!): clearly, your performance would be seriously affected if you experienced high stress levels. But I guess I'm thinking of accounts I've read about a small amount of stress helping to keep you focussed - whether it be: acting on stage; performing at a gig; or even... taking your driving test, sitting an exam, or attending a job interview?
Another thing: If we see total stress/zero stress as a continuum, is there any danger of zero stress equating to lack of challenge/stimulation - and, therefore, boredom? And could not that boredom, in itself, lead to an inferior performance? (If so, should we not move a little along that "stress line"...?)
But, perhaps some people - you included - do, indeed, operate best under zero stress conditions? (Or maybe our definitions of "stress" are different?!)
Anyway, I'd be very interested to read your perspective on this...
My very best wishes, as always.

I think it’s more excitement that’s helpful rather than stress. I find stress paralysing me and taking away my skills. If you love what you do there’s no need to be afraid of boredom. I think what you mean is this mobilisation stress that doesn’t affect your performance in a bad way and I call it excitement :D

@@JOULIEFOXvlog Joulie: Thanks for getting back to me so quickly with your perspective. (I think it does come down to definitions: "excitement", as opposed to "stress".)
Anyway, intriguing to get your thoughts - thanks, Joulie!
