This is music, THIS is soul, This is what should be in everyones ipod, cd player, cassette, what-have-you! This has changed what my perception is. I get chills every time I listen to this song. The music on the radio has nothing on this. Real music isnt about how much money you have, what you have, or how many women you can get or have had sex with. This right here is real music. This is life in its own respect.

I'm always open to suggestions from people about different music/songs as well as lesser known artists. In my opinion the majority of the lesser known or more obscure artists have the best music. Again...just my humble opinion.

Man this song is still so good. I helped Carl Armstrong shoot some of the super 16 stuff on his SuperStar Part 0 (2002) video and was just blown away by this man. One of my favourite artists of the time. Recently got back into his stuff and holy hell, I appreciate it on another level!

K-OS is an amazing emcee. He combines the musicality of funk or soul with the values and lyrics of true hip-hop. And I'm not talkin about the shit that's played on the radio, I'm talkin about KRS-ONE, Gangstarr, Rakim, all those cats who started this movement known as hip-hop and continue it today.
And on a sidenote, I think bboy Dyzee makes a cameo standing next to the rapper who isn't k-os in the beginning.

I remember an interview with Drake where his pops told him if he wanted to be a rapper don't just be like everyone else and just rap. He said you must also sing on your records. He was basically telling him be like K-OS and that is something that sets Drake apart from the other mainstream artists. Sad that K-OS never got that love that he deserved. Definately one of the greatest.

This man is full of truth and has mad skillz. He not overly conventional neither which in my extensive musical experience = hip hop Gold. He continued to carry the torch for the older forgotten roots in hip hop and unlike all new school wannabe hiphop he represents all aspects of what embodies it.

Then progresses to the inner workings of the world, specifically the entertainment industry. He mentions how the lack of creativity is prominent due to the pursuit of material wealth. The genre has become exploited. Yet, he stays true to him.
