OMFG this kit is phenomenal ... and Steve you are equally impressive
Thanks, this vid was really helpful as there aren't many vids of the td-30k, just the kv. Great drumming ;-)
i've always had the td-3 v drums and ive been hanging out for an upgrade, seeing this is amazing! it's incredible what roland can do with these digital drums.
You are correct, the kick pad on the TD-30K is known as the KD-120BK. Sorry about that. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I think Roland wants to give drummer's the option to add the hi-hat stand of their choice…same as the throne and kick pedal. You will absolutely receive a free hi-hat stand (as well as throne, pedal, phones, and other accessories) if you purchase the TD30K DRUM ESSENTIALS BUNDLE found only at Kraft Music. On sale for $4499 with free shipping and no tax (unless you're in our home state of WI). Thanks for your interest!

The ability to play with brushes and have the set pick up on the nuance is way cool.
Good
here is some hi hat vh13? td30 k is vh11,give us incorrect information?
Awesome review! I was wondering, is it possible to assign any sounds (even crashes and smaller toms) to the rims of the drums? Or is it fixed to the certain sounds on the drum pads like on the 25KV?
yeah it is. youl find every dual zone pad can do that :)
Ahh i really want this kit but i dont have the money :( what is the cheapest i will be able to get it for??!
what is that kit at 7:55?? it was amazing
Hahaha a Yamaha hi hat pedal at 1:31
jonathanmellqvist2 this guy used to work for yamaha
can other cymbals to be added to the td -30k set ? and if yes how many ? i am very interested to purchase one , because it sounds amazing but i would like to add some other 2 cymbals , thanks
+rocco roccki Yes, the Roland CY cymbals can be added to the Aux 1, Aux 2, Aux 3, and Aux 4 inputs, so you can add up to 4 more. they have cymbals everywhere from 5 to 15 inches I believe.
Which kit has more extra inputs ? TD30 or TD 20
Do you need to put on the mesh heads yourself?
Does the TD-30K have that same Melodic setting as the TD-30KV he demonstrates at 2:45?
Tate D Yes; both sets have the same kits and sounds because they use they use the same sound module, just different pads and rack.
Does anybody else notice that Steve is using a Yamaha pedal at 1:31? It's weird to see him at Yamaha now.
What is the name of this song that plays at the beginning of the video please?
STUDIO
Are those drums loud to hit while there unplugged? because I'll be living in student dorms soon
+Nat Rea You will not want to take anything like this to a dorm
this is too big for a dorm... and it probably will get broken by your friends...
Too bad no one watching this could afford one.
I can. I'm not sure it's worth the money, though. Tbh the sound quality isn't fantastic (the TD-30KV is pretty good though, imo), and I'm not sure the benefits from it like simpler recording and not having to use practice rooms are worth the extra money over just a good regular drum kit.
charly88888888 I would argue that if they had better acoustic drum sounds it would be worth it, but I love the sounds of yamaha and mapex style drums, out of the kits ive heard in the Roland modules, I can't say I would like to actually use them for performance or practice.
Tyler Stewart This is the thing - the TD-30K just doesn't sound very natural to me. If I was gonna spring the cash for an electric kit frankly I'd rather pay the extra for the KV.
Nigwardo Bro true
All I wanted to know was if the td-30k pads could do what the kv pads do, then you mix them up in the video...
i use the hihat bell a lot, it's sort of a trademark for me
can you do that with this kit?
Why Yamaha Stewe?!
So is the 30k just a smaller version of the 30kv?
The 30KV (which is the one in the vid) adds another tom, and all the pads are larger. The snare is stand mounted (instead of the frame mounted snare on the 30K). The cymbals are metallic looking instead of black, and I believe all 3-trigger (one crash on the 30K is only dual trigger). The actual brain module is identical. I know its 5 months since you asked, but maybe someone finds it useful :)
Is kv better than?
Affordable..... 7500 dollar drum kit... But that thing sounds amazing!!!! I would love to have one!!
this is the td-30KV
Did anyone notice they switch between the 30K and the 30KV in the video making it look like he was playing the 30K all the time when the 30KV is better then the 30K kind of misleading if you ask me JMO..
Explains the differences in detail bro...
There is no KD-125BK!

hey, you wouldn't mind giving me a free roland td 30kv would ya? :) I would buy one i just cant afford it hah I've been drumming with the same "Alesis Dm5" for 6 years :(
The cymbals is where it doesn't sound real. The toms aren't the best. The snares are completely there, in most of the kits.
TODO MUY BONITO, PRECIOSO, SOBERBIO, IMPECABLE.....PERO, PARA EMPEZAR LOS 2 MONITORES NI ESTÁN CONECTADOS NI FUNCIONANDO PORQUE SU SONIDO ES DE JUGUETE,, EN SEGUNDO LUGAR, PRIMERO APARECE EL BOMDO KD 120 CON 3 TOMS, Y LUEGO MIENTRAS VA TOCANDO APARECEN DE REPENTE EL BOMBO DE MAYOR CALIDAD KD 140 BC Y 4 TOMS......YA SE QUE ESO SON TECNICAS DE VENTA, PERO NO CONVENDRIA ENGAÑAR A LOS BATERISTAS PROFESIONALES QUE SON CIERTAMENTE QUIENES VAN A COMPRAR ESTE KIT CON MAYOR PODER ADQUISITIVO.
