  • This is a very common mistake new paramotor pilots make while they are learning to fly! Hope this helps!

Dont push the risers... If i had known this from day one, it would have saved me LOTS or shoulder pain and time. Such a simple concept, to let the harness pull the load, yet it escaped me for too long. Good vid, short and sweet. Thanks for the resfresher.

Trims out for the start in null wind? Interesting. Easier to stabilize the wing yet u need to run 2x faster to detach from the ground

Nowhere near 2x faster and you can apply the brakes to slow yourself down for takeoff. Trimmed out is definitely easier.

Best way I remember is A's are on top before you clip in. So easy to remember it that way.

I like to check one last time as I center the wing and walk the slack out. Hands up, A's in hand, no slack...you can see them cleared. Then its a few steps back and run like a mofo.

Good stuff. I’ve been confused about the A’s! Do you lift, pull up, when do you let go? So many different ways to say the same thing. This makes it look and sound simple. Waiting on decent weather here

    Nice.
In my earliest training, I jacked up my shoulder ‘pulling’ the A’s forward (while my arms wide/back) Instead of allowing only the force of my running forward to inflate the wing.

Yup, same. It took a lot of fail and sore shoulders, to finally realize.... you arent pushing the risers, you're merely holding the a's a bit, while the carbiners take the load.

Just a thought, should you be launching on sand. After setting the lines down on the ground, why not draw a central line in the sand between the lines? This would enable a quick visual reference to ensure that you’re still centralised and ready to go.
Great video, subscriber from the other side of the pond in Brexitland (England). 🤗👍🏻😉

hmm reply from (england) forward launch/getting ready.a risers in both hands .move forward a bit until u can feel both risers pull. step back and keep on doing this when both sets of risers both slightly tug at the same time. then getting for launch.
