Pilots of the DC 10 need some real respect for getting almost everyone safe even after a crash.
Indeed
so trur
The pilots if united Airlines flight 232 were heroes
and all the pilots surviving
and Alfred was 57 at that time
Can’t imagine how much trauma these people have gone through. So glad they seem to be doing very well.
How some passengers literally walk out of a complete wreckage...is beyond belief
For real

DON’T MENTION IT!!!
I was angered at those first 2, i mean how could they have missed critical steps in configuring their plane for takeoff! Similar to Lapa 3142 and Delta 1141
@@louieosumo On Spanair flight 5022, when the plane was taking off, the camera clearly showed that the flaps were not extended at 1:48.
@@maxgodtankspubg3089 indeed, but the FO says: Engine failure? Wrong answer, it was 0 flaps configuration. Because of a broken relay earlier, the pilots still think it was engine failure regardless.
Well thanks, I mentioned it anyway !
@@ThePierre58 lmao no you didn’t

You could see the pilots pain/guilt and how he still suffers today.
Why’d it cut off like that? How many people survived?
185 out of 296 people on board survived the crash of United 232. It's a bit of a miracle, considering the state the plane was in. You can look it up (full story) on major aviation channels on YT as the 'Impossible Landing'. Personally, I find even more captivating the pesonal accounts of two of the pilots, captain Haynes and off-duty captain Fitch. Two of captain Haynes' long string of safety lectures are on YT, as are several recordings on Errol Flynn's 'Leaving the Earth' document about captain Fitch.
Sadly, Denny Fitch, who you mention, does not suffer anymore today, as he died about 10 years ago, and Flight 232's captain died several years ago. They're both heroes to me.
@@surimi7283it’s on seconds from disaster as well
That tour guide have a freaking divine intervention. He was about to get fire. But he almost died and survived being a "hero"
"Fire"? You are meaning "fired"?
Awesome explanation even visually challenged people can understand the whole story. Thank you so much for the hard work you guys did for us.
Flight 232 is the best episode of air crash investigation special report
One of my neighbors actually thought I was on Northwest 255. Thing is, the flight I was on went from Buffalo to Detroit. I got chills when she told me.
Ben Levy is a true hero.
Keeping it cool after a plane crash, jees…
The fact that a celebrity missed his flight at the right time as he watches his flight crashed, spainair
May they all rest in peace
I cant imagine the guilt that pilot feels for surviving when most didn't.
I was just looking at the channel a few hours ago! As soon as I scrolled down the menu, I saw this as my notification cause I am subscribed! Thanks for uploading!
Spanair flight 5022 stalled because if you look at the wings the flaps are retracted while taking off. , flaps increases lift so that's why how it stalled
I love these vids
I’m addicted to these videos
Yeah me too ... I watch these even when I'm waiting at the airport or when in the plane 😂
@@himtheemperoradityaofindiaI’m a former flight attendant. I watched these videos mid flight
Me too
Me too 😂
For reall
Let’s appreciate how hard the team worked to produce these awesome videos!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Yeah, i appreciate both nat geo and smithsonian
Seriously the amount of work for the 23+ seasons made by the Canadian Company Cineflix
Very 👍 ✔️
Mayday and Wonder are real good too
@@natebessette273 there plane videos are alsonstolen from nat geo
As for the crew of United flight 232, I will always have respect for them, they showed creativity and all their skills to save the plane.
But it's terribly sad that it didn't work out.
They were flying steadily from 11.5 kilometers and at 30 meters the plane lost stability, literally at the finish line, it was as if a runner had lost a race because he would have hit a pole with flags.
Capitan Al Haynes, Bill Records, Flight Engineer Dvorak and Denny Fitch are true heroes and will always have my respect 👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊
Airports have their own fire department, I think they should have their own medical as well
Pro-tip: I've seen alot of these, if your pilots are sweaty before take-off things wont go well.
We need a new episode on Yeti Airlines Flight 691 summary after the investigation is solved
Why did you forgot air Canada flight 143
2:03
"something's going wrong"
"nah i thought everything was ok"
Hello, thumbnail Dennis Fitch. Haha.
I miss you.
Can U please do the Season 23 crashes
I wish the endings explained a little more , ie why plane crashed how many deaths vs survivors.
DeadMaus51 almost died on Spainair 5022 when he missed his flight last second but the flight was Spanair 5022
1: Who is he? Im from Brazil, so i don't know him.
2: He missed Spainair 5022, but he really missed the flight? And what is the aftermath he experienced?(Example: injuries at flights 255, from Northwest airlines with Cecilia Cichan and other 5 in the ground, and the 61 survivors at the Tenerife disaster, at Pan Am 1736, since no one survived at KML 4805)
3: What he saw after flight 5022, according to reports?
At minute 11:00, I felt really bad for the Korean toor guide
OK THE GIRL WAS LUCKY THAT SHE SURVIVED THE CRASH OF NORTHWEST 255 IM VERY SHOCKED
The back of the plane saved their lives
2:45 Pilot:Fly the plane fly it
Very Useful

Rip to all people
The smiley face made this comment eerily dark
wow
Wish they said the # passengers and # of survivors.
12:13 Bro thought the runway is the Mountain 💀☠️
There 2 more on another channel of delta 191
And the sole survivor of Vietnam 474 it’s called
“I spent a day with Plane crash survivors”
they NEED to make a thing about alaska 1282.
#4 I think how she survived is she was small and in the right place
Ok. I know it's animated but I know a lot about the crash of UA232. The airport it crashed at was sioux city municipal Airport. Not large enough to handle a 747. But at 8:38 in the foreground you can clearly see a 747.
dude why does it matter
thats what I'm saying

He was born that way
I guess that 'mistake' by the South Korean tour guide was overlooked since his group made it out alive.

Captain: Rotate
Flaps and Slats: you forgot me, look like we are going to hell
How do you turn off that warning? 2:21 😂😂😂 😂❤❤ *he was probably annoyed at it*
@SouthernAVgeekLikes747Yes. I agree. He wasnt annoyed. He wasntry save his passengers, himself, and his plane.
What happens to the 2nd one?
Last seen for 2023 top 10 or top 5 disaster history.
8:25 First Officer Bill Records: LEFT GO TO THE LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT.
8:35 Captain Alfred C Haynes: we're turning, we're turning, we're turning
On the morning of July 6, 2013, the Boeing 777-200ER operating the flight stalled and crashed on final approach into San Francisco International Airport in the United States. Of the 307 people on board, 3 died; another 187 were injured, 49 of them seriously.
The true aircraft is Boeing 777-200
No slide yikes
Please show investigation
HOW DO YOU MAKE THERE VIDSSS BEHINDE THE SENENSE PLS
What? Bro learn how to spell.
@@Nishyfishy180 bro i was rushing cuz of my flight
how did one person survive northwest 255?
Right place, right time, right size
What happened at the second ones
Pilots missed the taxi checklist and tripped the breaker that gave them configuration for takeoff warnings. They didn’t extend the flaps or slats
3:35 this takes place in an alternate universe where Mexico lost “Baja California” after “The Mexican-American war”
On the animation Spanair flight 5022 didn't have flaps deployed.
never i take a md!!
give a video of Pakistani Airline crash
När man hör en finlandssvensk 😮
No explanations of the causes?
For this he have a seperate video which you can check out on his channel
Deadmau5 was on, but he missed his flight and I saw a gear clip when I went over a little like a little pond, but like why did the tail be like rubber when it fell
#2 they were lucky that the tour guide forgot his stuff
how to play
When you see a passenger from the flight you know some survived😌
Wow that’s must’ve been a really hard conclusion for you to come to 😑
I’m so confused. What happened to the second one
IT Took off And And didnt had slats
Since the first lady is from sweden i understand what shes saying
Flight 571 of Year 1972 is grearest crash survival of all time
Um...WHY is there a bank next to the runway????
Ive never been on an airplane. What is it like?
When on takeoff, it feels like theres a gentle force pushign you down
Most are safe, But others like Air France, with 12 crashes, are dangerous.
But you're fine inside, cuz 79% of the survivors are and were in the back, also choose big planos, they have good Weight distribution.
Thank you for your comments :)
@@msfox103able Yw :D
At 5:26, Cecilia survived the crash!? She got very lucky, but badly injured...

NEXT STOP: GOL Flight 1907.
Those wondering on asiana flight 214 only 3 people died they were not wearing their seatbelts
i thought 130 knots was the one
I didnt understand any world what just came out of your mouth
1st of a) why didnt the pilot put down thrust to idle because they knew they were gonna land but its gonna be a emergency (spanair)🙄🙄🙄
It always takes the captain 5 seconds to pull up as if they don't trust the warning.... Every captain hesitates to pull up after the warning ask them to pull up.
😮😮😮😮😢
Do you watchers know how many crashes were caused by no flaps set? This is utterly ridiculous and should NEVER happen. Thus was Spanair 5022. (Two of these wrecks were caused by this)
for asiana airlines 214 couldnt they just got off through the part where the tail broke off instead of opening the door?
it was blocked and too tall
@@yuanganuelas9149 ok
🌚 okay but you didn’t really let them explain their stories
thats because they gotta squeeze in 5 stories in 16 minutes including the outro
Right could’ve made the video longer. Or made like part 2 or 3.
The sole survivor is a 4 year old girl but she is injured
Serves those pilots right for negligence because of missing 1 IMPORTANT STEP: extending the flaps.
Bro I saw psa
Angry
Jesus can change yr life ❤
Its good for the most people that there is a translator but for me thats Swedish i know what she saying and the translation very irritable
On the last crash they could have put the nose down at the last second
cc
i think spanair 5022 crashed because the pilots forgot the flaps before takeoff
Do all airport speak English
It is universal in aviation at least for pilots and ATC to be able to speak english
@@brendawiener were so blessed and english might be the easiest language
