Hunting Ghost Children: The Gainesville Tornado of 1903

Sometimes fate's approach is slow, like a funeral march.
But often fate speeds at us like a derailed train; from out of nowhere on an average day.
Fate doesn't play favorites, And when its time comes, nothing can stop it.

I actually worked for around a year... On the 5th floor. This was 2018 maybe. It's a very creepy place and I worked with only one other person. Alone most of the time and end of the day, turning out the lights was no fun

Even if there hadn't been "no trespassing" signs everywhere, I still wouldn't have gone in there alone. Thanks for confirming it wasn't just me 🙂

I worked at Georgia Data Storage back in 1999. The top floors of the old mill were used for record storage and I spent a considerable amount of time working up there. Although I didn't see any activity, there was always a sense of someone lurking about and watching from the shadows. It was definitely eerie! Like you said, turning out the lights at the end of the day wasn't a fun task. On a side note, one of the moving guys absolutely refused to go up there. It was interesting, that's for sure!

That's a sad story. Too bad you didn't have permission to get inside. So the word weekend was interesting to be caught twice. I was most impressed with that sls tracker. If you hadn't caught it and then it was gone, I would have been more skeptical. But for it to be there then just disappear. That's pretty interesting. What a fun catch! Is that sls and the voice box stuff all in the same app? Is it something you pay for or is it a free app? Really loved this video. Even without the catches the history was very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

My town was built on cotton mills. We had about 10. Only 1 is still in operation. We have 1 that looks just like that one. My grandfather worked in them his whole life. I remember him telling me him working there as a kid. Every family member started out in the mills except me. Which was good because when they all started shutting down all the older generation of people had the hardest time finding jobs because alot of them couldn't read. Cotton mill workers are so strong people. The funniest part is when something called you a honky. I was waiting for it to call you a cracker next. Lol

My parents, as well as most of the adults from my childhood were mill village people. It was a tough life, but there was a camaraderie among the mill people that bound them together their whole lives. Thanks for watching this mill story, Dee.

I can't believe I have never heard of this terrible tragedy . Those poor orphaned children with no one to mourn or bury them . I cannot imagine how the poor parents felt that were in the lower floors and lived . I enjoyed this sad tale
