Great video production fellas. Thank you for treating our state this way. I’ve done this hike before, took us nine hours. Some people run an annual marathon on this trail in roughly 3 hours. Blows my mind… Your comments at the end about our magnificent backyard is what makes me continue to want to live here. Thank you 😃

Worked with the USFS on the Crow Creek Trail and the cabin they mentioned during the summer of 2019. Had to hike the section from Crow Creek Road to the cabin many times to haul gear for work. Absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite hikes ever! I hope I can go back!

When you hit the water you have to go up stream (to the right) a bit to safely cross Eagle River. It's about mid thigh level. Also there are 🐝 yellow jacket wasps along the trail near the little ladders. Reward your self with a beer afterwards.

Had a patch at the ptarmigan lake trailhead, I heard a bunch of kids hooting and yelling, later took the dog out for her final walk and we saw all the cow parsnip tore up!

Never hike in Alaska without leg gators!

National Geographic's guide to the state parks of the USA describes Chugach as akin to NYC's Central Park, except several times larger than all of Manhattan and the animals are not confined to a zoo. 😂 Good job Alaska in retaining such a distinct character.
