We need your continued support so we can continue this humble program of ours.
We need people like you so we can reach poor Filipino families, one at a time.
I've been helping and reaching my fellow Filipinos for more than a decade, since 2006, but without recording it on film.
I just decided to film the activities we do in 2015 to spread awareness.
This time guys: I need your help. I need your helping hands to give joy to Filipino families, one at a time.
    How it works:
Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help.
After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another.
Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time.
    Important notes:
    1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys.
Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses.
    2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent.
The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube.
    3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
    4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
    5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films/videos about poverty in the Philippines is to spread social awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppression, repression, abuse and exploitation:
1st: We have to be aware.
    2nd: We should pay attention.
3rd: We are ought to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.
A documentary film/video like this one is very important, because it opens our eyes to the unjust societal reality.
How could we turn a blind eye on social injustice and huge economic inequality?
    Wake up, my fellow citizens!

Agree with you Sir...On one hand, that's only one part of society...poor, beggar, homeless. That's not the general situation. Of course, there are rich, professional, businessmen, drivers, taho vendors, drivers, singers, artists, politicians, priests etc etc.
As Confucius said...if one is rich or poor that is their role in a society. congratulations.

If I want to fill my head with silly & unrealistic nonsense I would watch boring soap dramas. However that is part of the problem. People filling their heads with (Mainly) Americanized rubbish. I want to LEARN and be Educated, and hopefully become part of the solution, as opposed to part of the problem. I admire/respect your kindness and humanity towards people who need the most help. I do not think you are being Racist in your words Mark, You are simply telling it like it is. I also see a LOT of disgusting OLD grandpa's travelling to Philippines and marrying young woman who if the situation was different, would NOT give those perverts a second glance. (These OLD men know that) I admire everything you stand for, and people are offended by the truth.. So be it. You are not here to sugar coat anything, Otherwise I would not tune in. I love the fact that you are straight up, and are not afraid to speak the truth. The camera does not lie. Much respect to you Mark and all the comrades who make this possible. "Compassion" Is what separates ourselves from the beast.

I don’t understand why she wants to have kids while she’s poor and don’t have money for feeding herself and now she have three kids and she’s begging for money so sad. Poor kids they don’t have nothing to eat don’t have house to live in and doesn’t go to school. Hope some girls will open eyes and don’t get kids without having a father who will provide for them.

This is utterly hearbreaking to watch. I've visited the Philippines twice in the past 4 years (scuba diving trips to Mindoro), and have seen a little of these conditions but not this extreme. That lovely mum, her children and husband should simply not be expected to live like this. Knowing how lucky I have been in my own life just brings on useless feeling of guilt that sweeps through me seeing the struggle of this family. I met some Badjao folk on both trips, they are vendors, selling T-shirts, trinkets and other bits and pieces. They were all very respectful and not pushy and so it made it easier to buy things from them. I didn't need any of it, but could see it was going to make a very small difference to their hard lives. Your films should be watched by everyone, you are clearly a force for good.

i see this in Davao. Its REALLY hard to distinguish between REAL beggers, and scammers. When i see THIS type of thing, i ONLY give to the kids - its not the kids fault their mother has more and more children and cant feed them. Whenever i see this, i grab these kids and take them into the nearest jollibee or mcdonalds, whatever is the closest i see, and treat them. I dont care as much for the mother(of course holding a baby is different), but i get annoyed a little, by the "perceived" behaviour - id struggle to have 3 or 4 children, so i didnt. It doesnt stop these mothers keep having children,,and they struggle to feed the themselves, and havent even got to the kids yet. 🙄. But, like i said - its not the kids fault, i wont say no to a child if i can help. Back to my first point: HOW DOES ONE DISTINGUISH BETWEEN someone like her, and scammers? Thanks for the upload.

    • @peterpichler8809
      @peterpichler8809 Před 7 měsíci +4

its great you help. but what you don´t know i believe is why these people have a lot of children. thats not because of lust for sex or happiness. its not possible to survive without. you have to go deeper before you comment. really i dont want to confront you, its great you do a little bit, but really look behind what you see on the streets (and yes there are scammers too) and yes of course these people bring their children to beg. you are the best answer why they do that. but its simply a possibitlity to survive to have a lot of children. there is no pension for them. they need the children in a hope for the future when they are old to get fed by the children. and yes there is a lot of lusty phil men who dont use condoms and leave the girl/woman when pregnant. do you know what church (in combination with the politics and baranguay control of the small people...) is telling the small people for long long time what they should do? no prevention and control. to give to children is nice. but the woman or adult need the same because they love their children and care for them (good or not so good). Once more: i dont want to confront you but there is some literature about all these problems you are talking about.... We westerners should not believe we know what is necessary to solve the problems of the world. We go to Phil. to look for young woman when we dont find at home... So we use this problems for our favour...

Norwina is very pretty, Ihope her husband treat her well, especially their 3 childrens, I watch this channels not to feel sorry for them, and not to be intertain or to watch something to kill times, I watched it rather than watching Telly series movies, all other entertainment show, but I thank Comrade Mark for his continued generous, warm heart, helping the poor, because these people are forgotten, ignored,. Yes there are many many filthy RICH people in the PHIL. Everybody knew that, but these people don’t care, because they only focus on their own groups of people- the filthy Rich only, their mind doesn’t revolve around the poor, they put that behind their heads, So Im happy, glad that Comrade Mark has the heart to show that there are people still in POVERTY, if no one SHOW the REALITY of these poverty then these poor people will DIE in the streets. And why do you feel that showing the poverty is degrading PHIL. Don’t you know that POVERTY even in USA have a lot but the people in USA are being taking care of.. So comrade Mark is filming the POvERTy in the PHIL. IS NOT DEGRADING AT ALL, is to open our BLIND eyes especially the RICH POLITiCiANS or the filthy RICH to help out, if they have a warm heart, we are all childrens of GOD and those filthy RICH are BLESSED, so if they have a heart is to SHARE the BLESsINGS they Recieves to the poor, that’s why Comrade Mark is showing because the poverty still pretty much EXIST, if you don’t like to see it, then don’t open this channel, obviously you don’t care, don’t give a damm about the POOR. Thank you. Comrade. Mark, you’re a HERO.

Dito samin unexpectedly dumami ang mga badjao. The thing is people offer jobs to them pero ayaw nila magtrabaho, gusto lang nila manghingi. The children are innocent and not to blame for, kaya kagaya nang isang comment here, people usually give alms sa kids rather than the parents. Nakaka-awa pero sana naman they can think about it at times na they will earn a decent amount if tinatanggap nila job offers dito which are dignified naman or di masama.
