Different people have different opinions on the best way to cleat a line. The way that I'm going to show you today is a safe way to do it; it will hold.
First, take a full wrap around the cleat. Then criss cross it twice. Finally, turn the line in your hand so it wraps over top of itself, and pull it tight, once on either side.
There you go! That will not come loose.

I can't believe boats.com posted a video with the wrong procedure for a cleat hitch.

It might not come loose, but it can certainly jamb, and that's not the only problem.
It's about as wrong as you can get. Unfortunately, another of many incorrect cleat hitch videos on CZcams.

This will come loose if the line moves to the other side of the cleat.

That's the best way for me
