One wonders if he liked fascism or just liked the idea of Hitler kicking Britain's ass so hard that India would be able to become independent.

Neville Chamberlain believed he could change Hitler and make a friendly relation between Germany and Britain.
Stalin on the other hand was waiting for an opportunity to strike, as the longer the Axis and Allies were fighting, the better for him.
Neither were really "buying time". Neville failed to maintain his diplomatic ties and Stalin failed to turn the Axis attention elsewhere.
(Don't take everything that hoi4 claim as truth, a.k.a. Buy Time with Czechoslovakia...)

Hey bittersteel , I calculated (it wasn't some crazy calculation) that the silent workhorse will repay his cost in one year and four and a half months. So if you plan on playing over three, four or five years or more it will be worth it. Cheers
Well lets see:
He costs 150
He gives +15% if I remember correctly
Let's assume that you get 1 pp a day since you always have a focus on and there are no other modifiers
That means he gives 0.15 pp a day
150/0.15=1000
Yeah no shot bro that's like 3 years
Edit: I think you might have done 2 pp a day which isn't realistic since the player will always have a focus
@@yuankang0127 Silent workhorse goes off of base pp gain, which is (almost) always 2. Otherwise having a silent workhorse on a nation with negative pp income would make your pp go down faster, and that's not how it works. So he's correct to use 2 as the multiplier, not 1. So clearly you've calculated incorrectly.

I agree, it seems like the Axis never wins unless the player carries hard in this patch.
Right, but I would like to play as the allies and feel like the world is in peril sometimes. I do prefer the allies but it feels too easy in most games.

Silent workhorse is way better than you think. You lose half of the pp you earn by default by doing focuses, so silent work horse is more like 30% extra political power. U would go from 1pp per day to 1.3pp because it counts the 15% from the base value which is 2
