The LOUDEST Indian In The UK! Buildings Literally Shook As I Rode This Custom Indian Scout Bobber!

  • This insane custom Indian Scout Bobber, by Moore Speed Racing, literally measures on the Richter Scale!
    Watch the reaction from a girl as I draw up!
    Moore Speed Racing very kindly delivered 2 Indian scouts to me, the Indian Scout Rogue and this 2016 Indian Scout Bobber custom; built by their very talented team!
    This particular bike belongs to Colin, the owner of Moore Speed racing. They are not only builders of custom bikes, but are also a main dealership for Indian and BSA. Make sure you check them out: www.moorespeedracing.co.uk
    Indian Motorcycles are really starting to have an impact on me and I'm beginning to wonder if an Indian would be a good bike for me. This one features some insane customisations like a suicide shifter, 240mm back wheel, akrapovic exhaust, custom paint job, and much much more; and…it’s LOUD!
    I've never experienced a bike like this! It creates so much emotion, not only for the rider but for bystanders too!

    Coooool custom motorcycle! And there are starting to be a lot of aftermarket parts for these. This video along with the Indian Scout Rouge video really made me want an Indian Scout. Maybe a Scout Bobber or maybe the one just called Scout because of the fenders. Thanks for a great video! 👍 Yea! and review of Indian Chief models? Absolutely!

    Man i was the same way about Indian - when i found them and really looked... I was totally hooked on the whole thing. Fast forward 6 months and I had one in my garage :D
    Go ahead and do it man, it really has turned out to be an incredible bike (I went for the Scout Rogue, w/upgraded fox shocks in matte black). Indian have been excellent with handling me as a customer, and my bike for service. I think it might be one of the most badass looking bikes on the road, and it's much... MUCH quicker than just about every other HD equivalent.

    I'm a Harley owner, I took the chief dark horse for a ride before I bought the Harley and it was nice, certainly more power .. the small issues I had with it could have been fixed clutch feel was odd to me... Engaged right at the top of opening, throttle had a slight strange delay in engaging, and the stock seat was horrendous. Other that it felt great and I'm quite glad to have tried it out. Went with the Harley because of looks, and I'm not a big fan of all the fancy tech that's on them and now on new Harleys aswell.

    • @JJPelszynski
      @JJPelszynski Před 6 měsíci

      Yep, the tech has become a bit of a turnoff for me as well that’s why I chose the Scout. It’s got the looks and power and is stripped down to the core for a more raw riding experience. Just upgrade the pipes and seat and you’re good to go.

      It's weird that Harley made their new Revolution Max water cooled engine to have such a minimal sound. It's a spectacular engine, performance wise, but it doesn't sound like a Harley. Harley motorcycles generally sound so good, they have a rare musical quality that almost no engine in the world has, which is due to the extremely unusual single crank pin crankshaft, and the very narrow cylinder spacing, between cylinders, and the super long stroke engine... The "low tech" features of the old air cooled Harley engines are what make it produce such a beautiful sound. That sound is more important than the outright performance.

  • @gerardmontgomery280
    @gerardmontgomery280 Před 6 měsíci +5

    I get what you're saying about Indian being the brand that gives you American cruiser cool without the negative aspects of Harley Davidson. I don't think Harley have done anything to help themselves either. HD insist they're selling a culture and if that culture doesn't do it for you then it's massively off putting.

      The Harley "culture" is exactly why in my 43 years of riding cruisers I've never spent a dime on anything Harley. My money went to Kawasaki, Yamaha and of course my current and favorite ride to-date, Indian. (Super Chief Limited, stage 2 with Lloydz tune).

You and bikes like this are made for each other, and it's great that Moore Speed Racing wanted you to showcase such a machine. I was amazed at peoples' reaction towards you. 5:00. You explained the importance of sound, so perfectly. The Indian Scout really beat Harley with the liquid cooled V-Twin sound, and they have replaced Harley as the best sounding modern V-Twin American cruiser. The sound has always been the most important part of a V-Twin cruiser, and that's why a Honda VTX1800 was partially a failure, because they opted for performance and not sound. The same with the MT-09 Suzuki 1900 V-Twin. It's very difficult to get that beautiful V-Twin sound. Indian has managed to capture and replicate the sound with all their engine models. The heavy gear whine from the camshaft sounds intoxicating. WOW, what a scary sounding engine!

    Gorgeous custom. Not very practical, but the exhaust sounds coming through my speakers is making my desk vibrate. That speedo is standard on the base Scout. This bike looks like it started life as a Scout 60. My Bobber has a different style speedo with a black bezel. The Chief line are great bikes as well. Slightly bigger than the Scout and has a higher top speed. But they are not as nimble as the Scout and all of it's torque down low, where the Scout has it's max torque (97.7 Nm) at 5900 rpm. The Chief is also air cooled, so more of a challenge in the city or in stop and go traffic.

      Could the basis for this cool custom be the entry level Indian Scout 60? The instrument cluster looks just like the standard equipment on the Scout 60 model (983 cc). Plus the cylinder heads are blacked out, just like a Scout 60, rather than the chromed ones that normally come with the more expensive "standard" Scout (69 cubic inch / 1133 cc).

    That Akrapovic exhaust looks exactly like the one on the Indian FTR R Carbon sitting next to me. I’d guess it’s the same one.

    That is a fantastic looking and fantastic sounding bike. A word of warning though. You can damage your hearing on a 'normal' motorcycle (like my Triumph T100), and you should always wear ear plugs when riding. On something as loud as this you'll damage your hearing a lot quicker.

    My concern is I’m only 5’8 and I think I’d be too small for a bike like this even though they’re my dream bike😂
    On a Speed Twin 900 at present wanting to add to my collection!

      There is adjustability with the controls. Are you in the Uk? If so Moores Speed Racing would be worth speaking to especially if you want a customised one 👍🏼

    Such a stunning bike but imo the Akro exhaust doesn’t fit with the overall design. But yeah, loud pipes saves lives lol!

    I like the anodised blue bolts. Nice touch. Those suicide shifts are a worry. I know someone who came off their HD due to managing the suicide shift,thus the name. Nice ride though 🇦🇺

  • @ThatGuy-nb7zf
    @ThatGuy-nb7zf Před 4 měsíci

    So I hate to nitpick but it was never the shifter. It was called a suicide clutch back in the day when people would remove the mousetraps on foot clutch Harleys. You'd have to hold the clutch down with your foot and if it slipped off well then you'd pop right out into traffic. Jockey shift is the phrase you're looking for.

    How did you find this suspension in comparison to the standard Rogue suspension. I have ridden a Scout model before and it was a really good bike but the suspension was pretty rough, even when compared to my 2019 iron 883 stock suspension. I am genuinely interested and not trying to complain 😅

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  Před 6 měsíci

      The upgraded suspension on this one was definitely better, I see what you mean with the rogue it is slightly too firm
