  • Borrowing an idea from a music therapist named Brian Schreck, certified music therapists at Carilion Clinic Hospice make music out of patients' heartbeats for the Heart Legacy project. This is one of the many possible ways music therapists at Carilion can help bring meaning to patients' lives.
Taking a digital recording of an individual’s heartbeats, music therapists can create a work of music using the heartbeat as the base of the music. The Heart Legacy Project is a way that Carilion Clinic Hospice helps families and patients create a product that will live forever.

Carillon Hospice, (Franklin Memorial), made our journey sweet with memories that I will cherish until I am with Don again.
Our Hospice team was so caring and made Don and I both comfortable. They became family and our home will always be open to them.
Thank you for your support and love.
    God bless
    Carolyn
