No, this is all to do with stupid MLB voting mechanism. You can literally have the same person vote multiple times over several days WTH???? Get rid of this stupid system
The Dodgers are the most hated team in baseball. That’s why Shohei isn’t the top vote getter. That’s why Dodgers players always are often challenged in the voting. I’m not saying it’s THE reason, but it’s definitely major contributing factor.
Our players need to rest not play in a mean less game.

How did Bryce have more votes than Ohtani to get in automatically? I swear the Orioles and Phillies fans have nothing better to do than sit at their computers voting for their players whether they deserve them or not. It’s stupid cause as baseball fans you want to actually see the BEST players play. The AL team will be all Orioles and Judge and the NL team will all be Phillies and Ohtani. 😂
Non-Dodger fans will not vote for a Dodger. So our players are going against fans of 29 other teams. This is why fan voting needs to be done away with.

Seeing Betts, Acuna, Tatis, and Harper getting injured made me kinda hesitant to see any Dodgers players (let alone any amazing players) in this year's ASG. For example, during last year's ASG, Jordan Romano (Blue Jays Closer) got injured during last year's ASG and started to derail badly after that. Now he's at a near 7 ERA, and hasn't been the same since the injury.
The point is, I just don't have a good feeling for this ASG after the huge increase to injuries from this season. It would've been cool to see the best of the best against each other, but the injury bug ruined it for me.
Some of you y'all might disagree, and some might agree. And that's cool. That's just what I think.
my criteria for phase 2 all star voting is: 1) his name is shohei ohtani, 2) on the dodgers, 3) not astros, 4) not yankees/orioles, 5) on my fantasy team, 6) overall impression
In my over 50 years of following the Dodgers, our fans have been uncaring or lazy voters for the all star game. Our city population alone is enough, if people were actively voting. Smaller market teams get their guys in all the time. It's on "us" that Will Smith gets snubbed. WE are the ones who snubbed him this year because media has, finally this year, talked about Will as one of or The premier catchers.
Let's go Dodger fans! Maybe we need the vlogging equivalent to the "I voted" sticker, when we comment to keep it top of mind. Like, Subscribe, and now Vote!
Imho, the Dodgers who deserve to be on the All Star team are: Ohtani, Freeman, Teoscar, Stone, and Vesia. Maybe Glasnow, but he had a bit of hiccup late May, early June.
More like Glasnow wasn't getting run support. He still had great outings but getting 0-2 runs start after start sucks. The only actually bad outing was in New York. The rest were 1-3 earned runs.

Totally agree with you on the run support issue but those games in Ariz, Pitt & NY resulted in losses for him and his record went from 6-2 to 6-5. Just average, not "ace" material. Happy to say his last 2 outings were exemplary.
I gave Alex Vesia a lot of crap 💩 but now I would vote 🗳 for him to be an All Star 🌟
I've been a dodger fan all my life 53 pyears but T. Hernandez doesn't belong in the all star game how do you bat.246 and get 1 hit in 20 at bats that ain't a Allstars player

Doc has no dignity. Get off your hands!? A canadian white sox reluever just struck out 7 of 9 dodgers the other day. He wont last in that job if he doesnt win. All stars? LA IS ALL STARS. We see all star games daily. And a coach sitting on his hands while they strike out invariably against top 1 and 2 opposing pitchers. Does anyone miss mook? I would if he was in right field....maybe.
