Do you know if the Native who was given that ash tray from the Grouper Party survived?

You have the Australian translating the pigeon English and then the crewman translating the Australian. Funny stuff.

I stand in salute to your uncle. He must've been a brave and extremely proud man. God bless his memory.

The Grouper sank a Japanese ship, the Lisbon Maru which was taking POWs from Thailand to Japan off the shore of China in October 1942.

It was POWs from Hong Kong, over 800 were massacred by the actions of the IJA. There is a documentary about the ship due out Sept 2023.

Around here we have been talking about what will go on if the Chinese invade our hills. Well I have convinced my fellow Aborigine Hillbillies they taste just like fried chicken. I also told em they will not need a hunting license & there won't be any daily bag limits. So far everyone is really excited about being invaded.

Hopefully your "GOVERNMENT" will at least allow you to have and use .303 Lee Enfield Rifles.

@@lindycorgey2743 The 303 is a really straight shooter out too 250 yards... Not much more. Nice heavy round if carefully aimed it really has a bite... Thanks...

What a laugh. Australian soldiers in operations didn't have one side of their slouch hat clipped up. The wide brim was to keep the rain off and shade their face. The hats were made of rabbit fur.
