Man I’m going to miss this man
what is that suppose to mean
@@bananaglass why
My childhooooood
The less Kyle enjoys a game, the better his bits. We win either way.
rough tetris nights were the best
Clicked just to hear the opening again.
Whoever decided to let a loose cannon like Mick into the circuit needs to have their head examined
Man I loved this game so much as a kid. My brother and I used to go to the stunt mode in this and especially Rush 2 (it had way bigger stunt levels, but less of them) and just play tag. One of the most fun "make your own game modes" we ever came up with.
And goddamn this video really made me sad to think what EZA will be without Bosman :(
Honestly Rush 2049 went downhill in quality with S5. It was kinda weird when the protagonist switched from Mick to Poppy, but I get it, contracts expiring and all. But S3 was still fun, since Poppy's descent into madness was really interesting and entertaining. Did NOT expect the twist of him being Popey. Really good arc for the series.
S5 is when I really checked out, though. Catsmoke was cute, but the writers should have never made Gordo a driver, let alone the protagonist. He was so much better as a side character; I honestly preferred him in jail.
S2 will always be the peak, for me. Mick was such a fun protagonist, it's a real shame the actor didn't renew his contract, but I guess that's what rising stardom does to you. Liked his caneo in S4, though, even if it was so short.
The writers really didn't know what to do with Charlene after the big reveal. After being basically the heart and soul of the story for the early arcs it's like she was never even there once Gordo steps into the spotlight.
God...Im gonna miss kyle so much! So few people have the kind of sense of humor that he does, hes all about sub-text and being subtle whilst also being a massive troll! Sad times :(
I hope Never Too Late to Dreamcast eventually gets a spiritual successor. I love this series so much.
I hope the other Allies explore the Dreamcast library more, as a series or just for one off streams now and then. Has Kyle mentioned if he's taking it with him? I'm pretty sure it was sent specifically to him.
Dreamcast had a short, but pretty good life. Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, and Jet Set Radio were more action-packed than anything before, fighting games were Arcade perfect, Power Stone hasn't been replicated, and Phantasy Star Online introduced us to MMORPG's. VMU's, Chao, two slots in the controller, it was a big dreamer in the early 2000's. I actually can't believe it was released in 1999, feels a bit later.
I loved SF Rush on N64. actually the most fun really is to just discover the maps hidden areas and collecting the coins lol. we always did that in 2 player mode so the race would never end and we have unlimited time for searching around.
Same! this was one of the goto games for me and my cousin and siblings on the weekends. Stunt mode and battle mode was also a lot of fun with multipplayers
43:30 I lost it
The gentleman took it well.
EASILY, one of my Top 5 favorite Dreamcast games! Had so much fun with this playing all of the multiplayer modes with my friends. Loved the car wings too lol.
This is the one that had battle mode too right? On top of stunt, that was so much fun.
@@IonSquared The battle mode was so fucking fun! I even got my dad to play it when I was a kid, which is crazy.
This is one of the best arcade racing games ever. Played it sooooooo much!
I love this game and I'm glad to see someone talk about it! It's definitely more fun with friends in the stunt and battle modes! There's even a secret obstacle course you can unlock by accumulating 1,000,000 points in stunt mode!
Absolutely love this game! Sure, some of the corners of the tracks are not designed well and the turning is too loose at high speeds, but my sisters and I used to play the hell out of this. Especially Stunt. (And definitely the best version). You have to utilize the wings, though.
I'm going to miss you, Kyle :) These are fun to watch :D
It’s so cool to see someone big like this cover this little ole game. I know this game and the arcade version like the back of my hand. I’ve been doing mods for the GameCube version for a few years now and I’ve been able to get a decent team to work on a unity title. More good stuff to follow, Rush isn’t over.
Evangelion Reference
As a fan of Evangelion, I'm impressed.
Where was it? I missed it
@@thesedays1985 The color scheme of the car matches eva unit 01 (2:32)
“It feels like my sister just got a CD player!” Lmao 😂
There are some shortcuts that DEFINITELY give you faster lap times.
For some reason this is one of like two games that my parents played with me. The two of them, my brother and myself would play four player battle mode all the time. Good memories.
It sounds like Moody is singing "Cause we're still sleeping in my E.G.G."
I only caught part of the stream so seeing the full Legend of Gordo (in edited form) was a treat. I seem to recall also making up my own stories while playing the Rush games as a kid haha...though I think I did that with several games. Exploring the tracks in the practice mode outside the circuits and collecting the coins and so on is the funnest part of this game, and the multiplayer modes.
And I could watch that intro over and over and never get tired of it. Really gonna miss you, Kyle, but chase your dreams!!
Dont go Kyleeeee :(
I had SF Rush 1 and Rush 2049 on N64 back in the day and loved them. I remember the skate park themed level in 2049 where youd go up a quarter pipe, take your wings out, and spin around doing tricks. Very fond memories.
The opening is so Kyle it hurts. I love you, man. You are the absolute best human.
One of the very best games ever. Not only do I love the singleplayer, I also think that the multiplayer is superb
I started crying at 00:14
Man the battle mode in this game is top notch. It's probably the most time I've ever spent with any multiplayer.
38:50 yaas wings. This moment will be eternal
I played the N64 version of this game, but I loved it. I honestly never cared that much about winning the circuits, but instead I thought the main draw of the game was exploring to find the secrets. I remember there was a level in N64 Rush where there was a short cut that led to this whole other giant tube with jumps and stuff inside of it and coins of course.
I used to play the mp a lot with friends as well.
Man this was my childhood!
I loved this game as a kid, but I never played much of the racing mode. My brother and I just played the battle mode over and over again.
A gust of wind... BLOWS UP
so gooooood!
You unlock items based on miles driven (the odometer). There's a really cool obstacle course, but you need I think 1 million total stunt mode points and there's no cheat to unlock it. Worth CZcams'ing it though!
There was a kickstarter game called Distance (Related, Nitronic Rush) that were seemingly inspired by these games that I think may also be worth a look.
I love the original rush!
Oh excuse me? Someone highlighting one of the best racing games from that generation? YES PLEASE
I played exclusively on N64 though, but it's all the same I think
@@bryguy2049 Prefer the N64 soundtrack over the Dreamcast one, but yeah think they're pretty much the same otherwise. :D
@@bryguy2049 same...the graphics on the N64 were shit tho compared to this or the arcade version
@@chrisz5z yeah but i didn't care about that much back then, and I also had the expansion pack which helped
@@pheria the soundtrack is so GOOD, i didn't know they were different between versions
How is it possible to play this and not be having a blast? This game rules. Greatest combat racing game ever made period. We loved it on the Dreamcast because you could assign button layout. The games an instant classic. My friends and I had a blast playing it for hours and hours. Combat Mode rules!!! Soooo much fun...we laughed our heads off. You can play with up to 4 players. So epic. It is still an absolute blast. Twisted Metal what...Twisted Metal Smishded Metal naaaa San Francisco 2049 is where it's at. Thumbs way up.
Racing Mode is cool too...so is Stunt Mode.
Battle Mode remains one of my favourite local co-op games. I doubt anyone cares, but here's how you reliably enter the cheats that I think you need for battle mode (had to figure out All Parts myself - other stuff online seems to be incorrect):
All Cars - A(2), Y(2), L(2). Hold R + X. Release the buttons, then hold L + A.
All tracks - hold A + X and press R. Release the buttons, then hold X + Y and press L. Release the buttons, then press A(2), Y(2). Hold L + R and press X.
Random weapons - hold L + A and press X, Y. Release all but A, then hold R and quickly press X, Y.
All Parts - Hold X, tap Y, A, L, R, release X, then hold Y, press A, release all, then press X, X
MICK!!!
I would have never expected him to berp on a video jeez :D
First!
one of the best racing games missing.
PS: Hope ben remembers PSO2 NA is today.
Did you also noticed that there seems to be almost no difference in speed between lighter and heavier engines..?? I just played this game for some days and got several new engines, but I absolutely don’t notice any progression in speed... top speed stays around 280/290 km per hour. Am I doing something wrong perhaps..?
I hope one of Kyle's Main Things will be improv comedy. I think he'd be good.
I missed out on this game because I was a brat that judged the game by its covers(and magazine journalists). I regret it. This game looks cool.
What would it take for Kyle to make a Music video for Sleeping In My Head as his send off video for Easy Allies?
I just GDEMU’d my Dreamcast. It’s the future 👍
Hahah the Rush games were so hard. Always loved exploring all the crazy shortcuts but ya they were never really useful.
the best game!
To make the cars stats faster all u had to do was.. at car selection click down twice and change handling to extreme.
Mick!!
You played the game already before and forget, so I think you slotted it right where it belongs on the arch of history.
Man I miss arcade racing games like this. They are basically extinct now.
Same :(. You should check out a game called GRIP though. Its from some of the developers of Rollcage.
You should try Draconus -Cult of Wirm, a very underrated game
yayy catsmoke
Some 20 minutes in I was just thinking "Wow, this game is so dull, last week's egg thing was so much better"... and then Kyle just went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on with his bits... and I remembered what was the point of all of this in the end.
Papi is deranged.
Rip kylo shit i meant Kyle
I miss cheat codes :(
Those Dickies advertisements are more outdated than the graphics
This game is an incredibly inaccurate portrayal of San Francisco, yet for some reason the Conservatory of Flowers (4:00) is in the game? What a weird detail.
Please don't leave Kyle :(
w00t
The Dreamcast feels way more like a 90s console than the PS2. But I am a bit disappointed that it lacks especially in the FPS genre compared to the N64.
I see we're playing the pirated version of the game.
360p gang
Dude, your wing game was horrible.
Judging from your Patreon post it seems like you are looking for something entirely new beyond being a "youtuber video game guy". That would be okay. Why always stay in public and so, there is a lot of other stuff to do with no community interaction and probably also more "down to earth" jobs.
