An amazing sport and incredible people. I have watched many of these great guys and gals race over here in the UK at our Santa Pod Dragway. Garlits, Miller, Skilton, Priddle, Herridge (RIP), Ritmeister (RIP), the Stones and many, many more. Thanks for posting this video.
I have been fallowing the women of the NHRA for a long time they are legends. We got Cha Cha Shirley Muldowney if it was not for her no female drivers she started it all, then we have Enders, Leah, Troxel, Angie, Lori Johns, Alexis, Shelly, Peggy, Cristen Powell, and last but not least everyone's favorite drivers The Force Sisters Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney. All of them are legends in their own right and nothing is better then seeing Brittany race down the track at 330 MPH in that Monster Dragster of hers.
I went to Concord today my first time to an event like this and you really have to be there to see what its all about. Your eyes flutter when they go by. Its amazing
Been going since the 1980's and every time I'm there I think 'You know you're in America when you see this going on'.
The Force girls are naturals at drag racing. There determination to ne #1 and the very best in there category has and is making them the very best in the nhra business like there dad.

John Force and his girls are making history they are the young peoples heroes, like john is to me, growing up, he is my hero blasting down the track at speed that would make you piss yourself! lol God bless the force family they are a legend!

Do you remember the lady in the UK who drove top fuel in the 70s because her husband bought a T/F dragster from the States and couldn't get in it so got his wife to drive, and very good she was.

Can someone explain how its possible to make enough money as a team ? There is a nice crowd but not crazy busy. Its a very expensive sport and they take a lot of risk so im sure they make good money as well. Ofcourse sponsors but they aint gonna sponsor for a handfull of spectators right ? Is there a big tv crowd every race ? Btw im from europe im not very familiar with drag racing like NHRA.

A LOT of merchandise sale helps too. Especially in the upper classes(i.e. Top Fuel, Pro Stock, Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle).
The sponsorship, however, cannot be overlooked for the revenue also

if you want to have some real fun go to a IHRA they run a quarter mile and thats real drag racing, better yet go to Bakersfield and watch the racing there and see the old timers and the cackle fest vintage dragsters but the most fun part is that its way less structured and you can go anywhere its less of a corporate deal its just old time drag racing.

Stephen Newman 90% of the crashes Danica had in Nascar were someone spinning her out or hitting her. You know- I know it. So why put the woman down for at least trying?
Every one of those fuck boy male drivers did their best to put her into the wall or spin her out every damn chance they had. They went after her double and triple what they would have done a male rookie. Fuck all of you hating just because she’s a woman trying to race.

It’s actually not a level playing field if your are a girl. Girls get special treatment and are allowed to break rules males just can’t break. The force incident in 2009 everybody in racing knew about it and what was going on with the force cars. Nhra and nascar both overlook certain cheats if the person doing it is bringing in fans and it’s good for political sponsor reason. Even in my daughters series they have an advantage that males don’t have so all 5 of my daughters refused to take the advantage which I was very proud of and they just went on and said whatever happens happens but they were not gonna cheat these poor boys they were competing against. I have 5 daughters and 1 son. So they wanted to show their brother support.

Research and facts are always absent when it comes to women's acommplishments. Diminish or dismiss completely. I am hopeful of the next generation. They are not being taught Victorian social culture norms.

The people who think drag racing is as simple as holding a steering wheel and going in a straight line would shit there pants the second the released the trans brake on a 700whp car let alone a 10-12000hp nitro car/dragster
