    What I use to replace the pull start string is window blinds string the good ones,! Some people throw them out so free to me .,,,!! The stuff is so strong I have never had it brake as long as you have good knots on the ends no problem, and my engine has high compression being a racing engine.

  • @rcnightmare
    @rcnightmare  Před 13 lety

    @NirvanaRox4Eva it may have come loose inside, I think just taking it apart and rewinding there might be a tangle too

    I have a HPI truggy, had it 3 weeks, took it out 3 times and then the pullstart went slack, on the 3rd run, so it doesnt retract into the pullstart case, any ideas why?
    p.s. I never pulled it more than 30cm btw :)

  • @farrellhunter
    @farrellhunter Před 11 lety +4

    1st most of us would have liked to see how it comes apart. 2nd close-ups to view detail would be nice. 3rd stop with the twitchy hands and show what you're talking about. finally it was painful to watch too slow had to fast forward to the important bits only to find twitchy hand syndrome failing to show detail. Anyway you tried, thanks.

    Ok this is making me what to leave this hobby
    How the f--/:$&ck you get the spring in the housing this is the third day I'm trying I can't get it in

    • @Erikih
      @Erikih Před 6 lety

      I also struggled with this problem. Solved it by winding up the spring as tiny as possible. Than use pliers to hold the barely end of the spring and the beginning of the spring. Do not loose grip, otherwise it wil unwind itself again. Than put it in the housing and slowly release the pliers. Now the spring will unwind on the housing.

    • @WH32R
      @WH32R Před 4 lety

      easiest way is to wind up the spring after installing the spool in the housing since you can pull the spring through the housing and wind it into the housing.

  • @alvinpatterson7607
    @alvinpatterson7607 Před 8 lety +1

    To all nitro rc enthusiasm if your pull start should come apart just buy a new one it'll piss you off to the point where you wouldn't want to see another nitro rc car . The rc world should stop making pull starts along with body clips they are the worst thing about this hobby

    • @lanabanana68
      @lanabanana68 Před 7 lety

      i agree with you , but i'm fuckin sick of the hobby shop charging a fortune for their dodgy shit that can be fixed in no time , it's so wasteful , their attitude of disposing of things and buying more . other than flimsy quality nitro cars are fun .
