- Take a tour of one of my favorite homes. Mac Mansion is an Earthship in the Greater World Earthship community build by my friend and colleague Gabby. It is one of the first Encounter Model Earthships built and I had the pleasure of being invited to participate in the initial construction. This video was filmed in the winter, so the exterior plants are dead since the weather outside is frightful. In spite of this, the inside is so delightful.
This home is no longer available for rent on AirBnB.

Escape pod? Liked like a dryer! Smart
Love it.
So awesome! I love that it has a nice mix of the traditional earthship styles along with more modern updates. I would love to see one that leans in a more modern style as well.
great vid
awesome build man
Love this, Michael!
Fantastic!
Likely my favorite review of anything on yt. Nailed it Sir, yes, I'd love to see more 🤘
Beautiful home I love earth ship homes but it's way too expensive.
great building!
Everybody builds these then says f that and makes them an air b&b and lives back to the city 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Gabby did amazing job of finishes on the cheap! Do love the pallet use.
Did you know there are hybrid E.S. made from baled tires? Little dirt pounding.😂
Our Mcmansion E.S. not complete yet.😢Nice video!
Baled tires! Can you tell me more?
@@lpmoron6258 There are facilities that bale waste tires. One bale weighs 1 ton. Ours cost $5 ea. transporting was more but still affordable, 20 yrs ago. Stacked like leggo's the bales are 3x5x3 buried on 3 sides with earth.
Gotta be honest with you... Filling up the front of the home with small rocks (1:45) knowing full well that they're eventually going to grow into much bigger rocks, will eventually lead to unneeded shading. Just saying
the link dont work
Boy, they really didn't bother with the aesthetics of the outside of this one, did they? Yeesh. And for all of the cool individual elements inside, like some of the benches for example, nothing really goes together in any sort of coherent look overall. The end result is that this is probably the least attractive earthship I've seen a tour of- and I've watched a ton of them.
