Buying X tee's for friends & their kids who are currently friends of JD & came across this tune/video. I met & became friends with them in Los Angeles '79. Yes, I liked and saw everyone, the Germs, Black Flag, the Plugs, the Alleycats, Rik L. Rik, Go Go's during Punk heyday of Whiskey & Hong Kong Cafe but X hit the spot for me. Gf & me never missed a single show. Finagled my way into Whiskey upstairs "backstage" hole after a show. There's only them 4 & maybe 2 others, Top Jimmy & ?, they look at me like "uh yeah & who the hell are you...?" Do u guys realize how phenom u r, do u have record deal, r u on KROQ, I spout & knock Billy's guitar to floor. Smooth. Thankfully BZ wasn't freaked. Took em on night time Disneyland trip, even flew my ass to NYC cuz I was so stoked they were booked there with Go Go's. Not into the devolvement of moshpit crazed violent contingent but ez to avoid & fun when Exene put mic to my face to sing along. It's very very cool to have recently met 2 Bay area dudes that not only are pals with JD but he stays at 1's home when in town. 42 yrs since those days. 42 years. WTF?

It should have read "First new music from the original X lineup in over 30 years" because Billy Zoom hasn't recorded with them since 1985.
