@@juliefitzjohn6057As I glance over at my JP Wiser's 35yo, which is lovely... I can't help but agree. Canada really can make some cracking whiskey, but CC is the butt of jokes for a reason, I think. 😅
What a painful way to lose the streak. You know how the parachute dram said "for when you want to give up whisky"....this would have been a good moment.....
when I was young and coming back through duty free for the first time, I asked the person for advice on something nice to buy my grandfather. they suggested canadian club. I really hope the unaged version picks up less terrible notes....from the plastic dashboard casks they use or something
I think it is quite unfathomable that something weird is not up with this bottle. We might try and get hold of a fresh one at some point for a comparison.
Tim: I hate this whiskey! Continues to finish the glass. ;-) I've had CC12 and it wasn't THAT bad but you really have to lower your standards and put it at the end of a session when the palate is shot.
"There's something wrong with this whiskey" is a classic distillery marker for Canadian Club.
haha - very good. Some whiskies just aren't meant to be aged.....no amount of time.....

I concur... except that then they wouldn't be whiskies.🙃 Un-aged, as opposed to dunnaged.

It's ok, just the memory of that incredible Longrow Red sustains us.

No whisky left behind!
