- On July 17th, 2014, graffiti artist Mobstr tagged a wall in London, sparking a year-long exchange with municipal authorities.
This is their story, set to Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King. Because why not?

A lot of people seem to be upset that the wall was graffitied and people were called multiple time to "fix it". I'm curious why no one is saying anything about how it always looked like crap when it was painted over, often with other graffiti still exposed.

To be honest, red wall looks a lot better than tht plain ugly wall before. He pretty much made them paint it red.

i saw this video on tv as a kid and just now realized that this is what sparked my interest in graffiti so thank you
I half expected the graffiti artist to lead the mural painter to create some kind of pattern after a while, with red being the line or 'code' to which the painter eventually paints a specific image without realising it. Something like a pointillistic portret or other.

this is the 3 or 4th time ive came searching for this video and I type in some shit like "wall gets painted red over graffiti" each time this is the first thing that pops up, and I get surprised it was so simple yet works so well.

Why don’t people who buff, use the same color as the wall? He finally figured it out, but now he thinks it’s over. Haha.
It might well be the same, nominal colour. However, weathering (UV, abrasion from dust, etc.) of the older paint will change its hue somewhat.
