- In this video I demonstrate how I repaired the bedside of a Toyota Tacoma with minimum tools. The damage is beyond conventional repair (replacement of side panel). This is a quick and cheap method without using professional auto body tools.

Good for you for doing this for your dad. And thanks for taking the time and effort to show us, who know a lot less that you do, how to fix a dent like this.
Thanks for the detailed video. I think you might wet sand and polish the finish to a mirror gloss.
Neat job on panel beating, back like new.... however still can notice d outer edge of painted area...
I liked it the car taht you made
Nicely done! I may be doing the same for my own Tacoma soon.
looks like its probably your first or second time? not too terrible. better than it was
Holy shit!! How do you hammer so fast?! Been trying forever and can’t quite get it🤦♂️
Merhaba bu onarma işlemi için hangi malzemeler lazım?
Are you finish

Great video, but the statement "without using professional auto body tools" is far from the truth....
I wonder if it would have been quicker to just R&R the panel?
It would have been quicker, but its my dad's truck. I didn't charge him anything. The replacement panel is $400. Had to buy only the tail light $40.
But ... but... but I mean ... a hammer and a dent puller ARE exactly the tools that professionals would use and unless it was a very new vehicle, that WOULD be more or less the standard way of fixing panel damage of the kind eh ?
But, good on ya for giving it a go :-)
I guess, but on a newer vehicle that panel would of gotten replaced. Been doing this on and off as a hobby for about 15 years.
I trust y'll 'read this kindly'
Sure a newer vehicle and an insurance claim would have meant a new panel and a whopper of a bill!
Looking back, maybe that original reply sounded critical ... none intended y'understand!
I guess it was more about the words ... I was looking / expecting / hoping to find that you'd created a "novel solution"
Like I said though, good on you for giving it a go - you've created a very satisfying hobby and not to mention a great looking end product!
All the best :-)
Where did you learn to wet sand body filler? Body filler is porous so water sinks through down to the metal and causes rust. Overall the repair is decent for a hobbyist. If I can give you any advice it would be to work your metal a little more and get it closer to the overall shape that way you don’t need to use fiberglass filler.
