@@nightwing5405 They weren't making any money and some of the members got opportunities to move up in the companies they were working for while in the band. They got shafted by the record labels too. Fueled by Ramen never really promoted them.

This song still makes me cry no matter how times I listen. I’ve buried an endless amount of memories of a couple women from my past that just bring me pain now, but this song has helped bring them to the surface in such a beautiful way. I sincerely can’t put into words how cathartic this all is. It honestly illicits so many emotions I can’t put into words how much it resonates with me.

It's almost like they knew their end was coming soon, and I'm proud of them for making the best of it! After discovering The Swellers in late 2014 and through them, No Use for a Name, I'm convinced that good punk rock and disappointment go hand in hand. Rip The Swellers and Tony Sly.

I got to see them live a couple of years ago. they're so nice and can really put on a show. wish they were still a band. they're so awesome and needed to more credit than they desered.
The Swellers are soooo under rated, and sooooo amazing. They deserve more recognition than they deserve.

Wow my band used to play with these guys at local shows around Detroit. They used to always be at the local shows we'd play at or go to. This is the first i've heard of them in forever this is insane that they actually made it. Awesome.

I talked to Johnathan before, he's one of the coolest and most genuine people I've ever talked to. I miss The Swellers. They're way too underrated, and they could've transformed music if they stayed together. It's makes me sad that they stopped because their manager was bad at his job. Just finding these guys now in 2024 😢 started following Nick’s pedal company and bought one of his pedals, found out he produced early Hot Mulligan, and traced it farther back to The Swellers. Wow. So good!!

Just saw them a last night in Dallas it was awesome had a pretty good convo with them. But the best part is that one of their friends went on stage and proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes and it was really touching I hope they have a long and happy Marriage

Man I still love this fucking song. Being a ‘96 born kid, 23 now with a single mother who’s father passed away when they were 6, when he said “every day of ‘99”, I absolutely felt that. This song gets me nostalgic as fuck for those last years of the 90’s and all those years growing up into the 2000’s. Don’t think I’d be where I am without this song, it’ll always be playing in the back of my head.
