- Hyundai has finally joined the MPV segment with their new Stargazer. This new MPV looks so distinct that we can't help but remember when the Mitsubishi Xpander first arrived in the Philippines. With the Xpander now on its second iteration, it's time to look how the new kid stacks up against it.

Maintenance wise il go with xpander. For sure na mas matibay at maraming parts.
6month na xpander 2023 ko. So far wala pa naman sakit ng ulo na binigay. Yung hyundai accent ko dati ilang months pa lang dami na sakit sa ulo. Sana matibay itong stargazer :)
Madali pang kalawangin mga Hyundai. D tulad ng mitsubishi naka negative charge bago pinturahan kaya deka dekada ang itatagal ng chassis
Need to see that base model ng Stargazer. Mura yun. Even cheaper than the Ertiga GL. Or pwede ring mid-trim. I think mura pa rin naman pero less features. I think all variants are automatic so sulit lahat. Thanks for the comparo, Philkotse!

@@lawrences.6298 Yes, you're right. As basic as the Ertiga GL AT may seem, it still has the better interior, plus Android Auto and Apple Car Play. You can also install a backing camera for that one aftermarket. Joo is right. It is not a smart buy at 998k (up to 1m+ if the discount is no longer there).
Owning Stargazer GL variant. So far its still good for a base model

Mahina talaga makina ng Xpander. Dati looks lng exterior ang pambato kaso ngayun mga stargazer na. Mas ok looks mapa interior at exterior. Malaks pa ang makina.

Xpander pa din. Better ground clearance, Reliability record, Looks and resale value. I-upgrade lang ni Mitsubishi ang transmission into CVT. yun na lang talaga ang kulang.
with only 2 airbags no adaptive cruise control, very basic features yet more expensive
Between the two, I would still go with the one with a higher ground clearance.. Di rin naman nalalayo ang specs ng dalawa..
Xpander no safety, minim feature, powerless engine...stargazer beat it
@@idp8986 They still got the same ANCAP rating at 4 stars.. Among all ASEAN specs MPV...Xpander has the quietest cabin.. More legroom and headroom..manood ka ng reviews from Indonesia since lahat sila source out from that country
@@roypalomera7854 i'm disagree with ur opinion about xp more legroom and headroom because in Indonesia stargazer type Prime has captain seat option which is make legroom and headroom better than xp. And after test drive, i think they got same level about quietest cabin

@@GS-sh4kb The 4 Speed Torque Converter on the Xpander will be a lot more reliable than a CVT and it will feel a lot more livelier.

Throttle response CVT? 🙃, Torque CVT? 😬, Did you know that CVT's aren't know to be responsive? Do you know that CVT's can't handle torque as much as Torque Converters? Do you know that CVTs are known to be much more less reliable than Torque Converters?

Stargazer is winner for me. HP and Torque is way better than xp. Thus mitsu is not that reliable nowadays compared to their signature during 70s 80s and 90s

ganito lang kasi yan eh sa pangalan at originality talo na agad yung isa. aanhin mo features na hindi mo naman gagamitin? yung isa sa kanila ang main feature nya is parts availability and reliability, ex nasira o nasagi side mirror mo? yung isa sa kanila hinding hindi ka mahihirapan maghanap ng piyesa. pag nasilaw ka sa features at hindi mo inisip ang maintenance down the road later huli na ang lahat puro ka na problema at nasayang na ang perang pinagpaguran mo. check mo ano bang mga MPV ang inilabas noong 90s-2000's na nakikita mo pa sa kalsada ngayon! it means reliable sila at pag nagka problema ang solusyon ay mabilis at madaling mahanap. ang sasakyan ay hindi celfon na pinapalitan kada 2 hanggang 4 na taon lamang ng paggamit yan ay matagalang investment para sa pamilya. kaya kung ako sa inyo GR86 2.5M bibilhin ko ^_^
this should be pinned as Top comment. At the end of the day, MPV are made to serve as a family car, so bukod sa safety features, reliability and maintenance wise should be a factor to consider (y)

Stargazer king of LMPV... feature, technology, safety, engine, spaces, and fun to drive sensation is better than xpnder. Design look just subjective thing..
