The two rotational wheel(?) system is smart engineering! Because when I first saw just one of them linking the front and back of the truck, I was like there was no way that was going to hold up to the stress.

What happens when you have to change the Power Function motor? Do you have to rebuild the set?
why should i do this?? the only reason is, when its damaged
I was thinking what actually powers the Power Function motor. I was assuming it was a battery but it obviously isn't
The huge box is the hub with batteries inside and this one coulb easily be removed for battery change or so
The box of this model I check on Lego website states it is "Not compatible with LEGO® Power Functions systems"...In the video, the Smart Hub system is packaged inside a box numbered 6283505

it's on sale right now for 140 euros but since it's only 950 pieces, it looks still way overpriced as I remember that my first off-roader i had cost only 120 euros and it had powerfunctions too plus it had more pieces

I know its £200 and its a lot especially on my budget I want this really bad and I'm not into RC but its Lego what's not to like and i know I'd never get tired of the set. but i could get a lot more sets with 200 or something else entirely.

230€ ist schon viel aber wenn man dann bedenkt dass mans vom handy aus steuren kann KRASSS!!! aber würd mich wundern ob das teil im sand/wasser weiter kommt oder kleine berge /steine überquert --> nur dann würds sich lohnen 😂
Kleinere Steine sollten kein problem sein, ob man damit wirklich in den Sand gehen sollte weiss ich nicht, wasser genauso wenig!

How can LEGO Technic rely on something not included in the box to power the sets. I am really not happy that I have to use my phone to control the sets. I hope a remote is made for the Control+ stuff soon. At these price points there should be one available. What a shame there isnt
why not!! there are so many other toys that use smart devices for play like anki overdrive, and in this times nearly every kid in the age this set is for ( 11+ ) has one
I agree however I just would’ve liked to see a physical dedicated remote like Power Functions. I suppose this is an attempt by LEGO to try to appeal to younger fans by utilizing smart phones, just like the Hidden Side theme
The issue is that the new control + system has way too many features. A regular remote would not be able to capitalize on all the cool stuff this new system offers. It’s not just Forward back left and right , there are so many additional things this system offers. I just wish it wasn’t so much $
The problem with this Bluetooth controller as a remote is the ongoing progression with this kind of technology. What happens if the next standard isn’t 100% compatible? What happens to the software on older devices? Is lego supporting older devices?
I have technic Models from the 80s and a fitting motor with a huge battery pack (looks like a flashlight) yet still functional. Will this model work in 20+ years.
It’s like using a 💾 in a modern computer.
Xul Nag I TOTALLY agree! Technic sets from the 90s and even 80s as you mentioned can still operate today w the original remote. What happens if smart phones are dead in 10 years and nobody has one? At least w the City train sets from last year there was the option to control it from your phone AND a remote in the box. That’s what I would like to see in Technic sets! I’m still a huge Technic fan but I’m looking forward to the development of Control+
