- During the defamation trial on Wednesday, a pre-recorded deposition of Alejandro Romero, the front desk employee at Johnny Depp's penthouse, was played in court. Romero was questioned about the penthouse incident and about what he saw occur around the time. During his testimony, Romero's responses made Depp and other members of the court laugh.

This is a hard working Hispanic man. I'm Hispanic and I can honestly say that these men don't go to work to look at what people are wearing or what the makeup or hair looks like. One thing though, a Hispanic man will absolutely notice any bruising on a woman and especially on her face. I am not a legal expert... But can someone tell me why we can't get AH's make up artists to testify if they remember they saw her bruises and tried to help her cover up her bruises. And if AH says she did her own make-up, then ask her to demonstrate her make up skill on someone who has bruises and swelling. Doesn't that make more sense? Oh she doesn't expect him to remember any of this, that's part of her plan to discredit his memory as a witness. It's rediculous, but she goes along that line of questioning solely to make him appear like his memory is unreliable and that he's not paying attention hoping that she can throw out the reliability of his testimony shortly after the events that he didn't notice any injuries, marks or swelling on her face.
Half the time I don't even remember what I'm currently wearing! I can put a tshirt on, then a hoodie and then someone could ask me what color Tshirt I had on and I'd have to look to know! No way I would remember someone else years ago.

This man came across as a completely honest and authentic gentleman He must have thought it ridiculous that he was being questioned repeatedly over things that are meaningless to him, not because he isn't aware of how important this is to a couple of extremely wealthy actors, but because he honestly just didn't care and is more concerned with being an honest guy that does his job as best he can. Additionally, he is smart enough to observe by those he meets on a routine basis that a lot of money and property doesn't necessarily mean a happier, better life. Loved his description of having to deal with the absurd notion that something scratching a door from four inches off the ground would be a threat to the tenants.. He seems like a total sweetheart and somebody involved in this case might want to thank him in person at some point.
Mr. Romero is all of us when we are ever pulled into court as it's interrupting our daily lives.... LOVE this man!

Unfortunately yes they do it all the time to try tire the witness into giving a different answer that they can.then manipulate. Even slight changes in words they'll use to suggest inconsistency. It's extremely annoying to listen to but they can do it and very often do. Specifically intended for lying witnesses, vulnerable witnesses, distressed witnesses or tired witnesses. Have to be on the ball to be a witness and this guy was very on the ball and handled it so well

When the doorman was exasperated and stressed how he is tired of being involved with this and just wants it all to be over and done with and how he already signed a statement of everything he knew which was not much and she COMPLETELY ignored him. She didn’t say “I understand, and I thank you for your time and your testimony here today.” Nothing. She is VERY abrasive and unlikeable! I fail to see how the jury would be appreciative of her style whatsoever. She’s awful.

He went and checked the video when he heard what happened on the day he was off. He would have seen any swelling on her face. He's doing his job and noticing his surrounding. Loved the chat about the dog scratches and it's the dog trying to get in. I thought they would remind him to stay put when he started the car, .... but nope.
She was trying to show he was forgetful but failed to hear what he was saying. His clear memory of the loose dog made it obvious he's able to recall things out of the ordinary, but her face was perfectly normal.

Noticing someone having bruises and marks on their faces is very different from noticing what clothes and makeup they wear! This attorney assumed they're the same thing but these are totally different aspects of attention. A doctor who noted a patient's disease doesn't meane s/he noticed what the patients are wearing. Likewise, a security guard looking out for the safety of residents would notice signs of danger but not what they wear. The questions asked by the attorney were completely irrelevant.
Actually part of a physician, nurse and other medical professional's job is to note the physical appearance of a patient including what they wear. It is the first thing a medical professional notes when entering a room of a patient/client.

Very credible witness. It's clear he's not lying and he has no agenda. He doesn't remember ordinary things, but everyone would agree that if there was something abnormal then that's something you don't forget. He remembered the dog that day causing them to think there was a burglar. It was a weird situation and you don't forget that.
