I had the same one I had it almost 8 months . I had to hold pier on remote and power on machine per Dyson to get it to work again . It never worked again . I got lucky it was still under the Dyson warranty or else I would of been screwed 700 dollars !!!
Hi there, Thank you for another video. 1) I assume you checked that the remote did ACTUALLY have a battery in it - especially given cost-cutting nowadays and if it did, tried a new, fresh cell. 2) that there was not little piece of plastic insulator in the remote control to disable the cell whilst the fan unit was in shipping and storage (been there, done that :-D ) 3) that remote looks and sounds absolutely rubbish for a £600 fan. Hope you get a good result!
My apartment was completely renovated and refurbished last year and immediately after that I also noticed a weird chemical smell when coming back from vacation. I literally sniffed around and realized that the smell was coming from the new furniture in my living room. It's crazy how even the furniture is toxic nowadays. It's crazy.
We are onto 3rd Dyson hairdryer since April. First one was extremely poor quality /scratches with faulty switch. Great machines and innovations but Dyson quality is questionable for the price you pay
I had a Dyson V6 vacuum cleaner and only lasted 2 to 4 years however my grandparents have a Dyson DC 29 vacuum cleaner that has lasted 13 years so far because they barely use it
It does happen unfortunately. Just because something is brand new doesn't necessarily mean it's going to work. A new in the box Hoover Turbopower I bought earlier in the year was also faulty. Luckily it was only a wire that had come loose.
I've commented on one of your other videos regarding Dyson quality. Their products are fantastically expensive but their quality is questionable at best. Our vacuum cleaner had a fault right out of the box and the retailer told us to expect a one month wait for a resolution. After a strongly worded email directly to Dyson, we obtained a replacement after a week, but it was a headache for nothing. I would avoid this brand...
They were good in the early days but the early has dipped considerably unfortunately. I like my Dyson air purifer though. It's been very reliable since 2017. Unfortunately I had trouble after around 5 uses with my Small Ball Allergy, Dyson were quick and efficient to fix the the issue but it's not great to happen early on. I've just bought the V15 Absolute, that also had issues after a few uses, again Dyson fixed the issue but it's bad having issues so soon.
The filters leak on mine :( it pulls dust through the rubber seal on the HEPA filter... a purifier should be a sealed system. Have a check after a few weeks of use and complain if so, I've had no luck.
Hi dear thanks for your video I call you unlucky person 13,so do I in different way, mine has got no formaldehyde life time filter😢 instead got different one looks very thin, I'm not sure call Dyson or retailer. Hope next one be perfect one.
I had this model too that came broken. It technically worked more than yours but it never detected anything in the air, and i don’t live in a clean room, so the sensor was obviously broken. If I used auto it would turn on for a few minutes then turn off as it thinks the room is filtered enough. I could use it otherwise but it defeated the purpose when i bought it to help with my allergies. I ended up buying a far cheaper dumb unit.
I work in Coporate Telecoms and we often have to set up 300 or 400 phones for smaller companies who don’t use managed deployment services … Quite normal for a 1 or 2 to be dead out the box even from the biggest phone manufacturers … I’ve even had one find it’s way out of China with bogies wiped all over the screen by a disgruntled worker before , a sealed box

I have TP02 since 3 year now. If it comes to culture of work and efficiency it is very, very good in compare to e.g. Xiaomi 3C, but the quality of its components is so so. The LED display currently is partly burned out, so many numbers are not showed correctly. Behind warranty now, so Dyson won't repair it. 🤷♂ at least app work ok.
I've owned several Dyson products ...vacuums and purifiers alike...that had technical issues. Dyson customer service has always been great and replaced the problem units quickly . Frustrating when these issues occur but when they are operating properly...they are effective products. I hope your replacement unit functions normally.

"formaldehyde" in the name of the video confused me a bit. I almost thought that the fan reeked of it.
Oh dear that's not good, I'm sorry this happened. Hopefully the issue can get resolved!

Formaldehyde is produced by electrical items that blow up as soon as their switched on
Pretty poor quality control they could have at least checked it before boxing it .

can you do a dyson dc14
On the bright side here's another Dyson product you can buy refurbished at a fraction of the price you would pay for a new one.
I bought $1000 Corsair ssd storage drive for my pc. It was Dead on arrival. So yes, it happens. It's how they handle it that matters.
