The new CZcams logo redesign after 12 years signified the end of the old CZcams era that we used to know. All those viral videos and other cool stuff that happened when that logo is still there...It's just, now gone. (Yeah I'm aware that it started getting worse in 2012, but 2017 is where it has gone too far. The new logo just makes CZcams completely different)
I'm pretty sure the old YT era died around 2012 when they completely changed the layout. Getting rid of 5 star ratings was the ultimate fail, then they incorporated Google+ within the next year, which eliminated thumbs down on comments (more fail, trolls galore!). Not to mention, this is also the same time people started making money off their vids, causing more and more clickbait. It's only getting worse it seems :(
Fuck 2012. Everything became bluetooth and wireless. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why change something at all if it's wildly successful. YT would have stayed the top "viral vid" platform if they didn't do that, for sure.

I blame Apple. Ever since iOS 7 came out, companies have been working hard to make their logos and media as simple as possible to “match” Apple products.
People resist change. People Adapt quickly. Simplicity is hard to achieve yet easy to copy. Logo is less about the form, more about the meaning. You made me laugh :)
