I work at a Walmart dc 6083 in the freezer and I love it.. once you get really decent at stacking hitting 130-150s is all about focus, and effort.. but the first month or two when I was in dairy/deli I always dropped stacks.. I mean I still do drop them sometimes but as you focus and ask for tips and try harder.. you see results in your time and in your paycheck.. Iâm going on six months.. and I look forward to doing this job for a little while.. hope you still there
Still here at my dc and love it. Good tips and advice. As you learn the stacking the percent will get better. Thanks for watching
Iâm in MP over at 6096 and also about to hit my 6 months. It really is about focus and paying attention to ties/peoples stacks. I still definitely drop stacks sometimes but itâs usually from moving too quickly or recently, IFCO failure đ
@@edwardmanning7102 ayee 6096 here too B2
I deliver there and why does it take forever to get trailers unloaded, Walmart doesnt understand HOS.
@@edwardmanning7102
"IFCO" failure?
Trent I finished video and didnât know what you did. At my age I couldnât handle anything that hard anymore but thanks for all the information and everything
No problem
Sounds like a lot but interesting. Cool hearing all the behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
Thatâs awesome Trent. I work for Target Distribution. Been there for 11 years.
Oh wow didnât know that. Yeah bet you got a real interesting job too
Iâve been order filling for 7 years now. Walmart was my 2nd order filling job and I left the company. I regretted it so much. They chose to rehire me so Iâm excited about the return. Good pay, excellent weekday schedule, job security and good benefits. Canât go wrong if youâre an experienced order filler coming to Walmart.
I aint going to lie your video help me a lot. I work for walmart dc 6057 for about two months on dry side now. The stacking was defiantly the hardest part about the job q to z are not fun to stack at all, but now i can run 70% to 80% on an good day.
Need to see sone more videos on this series
i just started at a dc i find not eating early helps alot by not going to the bathroom as much or hardly ever go saves alot of time
How long did it take to get a call after the tour
I remember them days in the past of my old retail jobs I did some have gone now don't exist and some do I've done warehouse work, sales assistant jobs,it's all hard work for sure xx
Yes hard work. Iâll be honest
Early bird gets the worm!
You know it. Early bird situations
@@tb12olemiss this is why i get here 30 minutes early to get a topstock cart
â@@gabaghoul23 I get there an hr early for slipsheets
good morning my friend have a nice day
Good morning. Have a great day too
I work at walmart dc 6062 i a number 1 on my shift meat and produce ive pulled 200%s for 7/8 hours straight at a time. I just ended Sunday with a 189% ran for 9 and a half hours
Thatâs really good
Do you get paid more if you do more ?
No
@@EC-iu3yb yes!
I just started and just finished my first week on the floor. Iâm on the dry side and I have to tell you man Iâm terrified about keeping this job because I just donât know that Iâm ever gonna be able to get a hold of this stacking.
I understand the frustration but hey we all like that when we first started đ. We all drop and broke so many things when we started it crazy. It takes months to get the stacking down and really once you get through stacking down everything else will become so much easier. It takes most of us 3-6 months to get the stacking down good.
Best advice I can give you right now is ask your coworkers for advice and pay attention to how everyone else is stacking. I can promise if you show your willing to learn and trying your coworkers will help you out. When I first started I was stubborn and thought I could do this no problem but I quickly learned I need to learn some advice from others and pay attention how everyone else is stacking
Hey Iâm applying soon and a little nervous did you ever get the stacking down? I see you commented then 2 months ago
@@meadowalexander5261 yes I did. Lol
New to mp here. Just saying be careful when the box says live plants. There can be cactuses inside. And for some reason the hand slots are right beside the spines. Fair warning lol.
Donât make sense lol
any tips for L-U which for me is cooking oil , flour, cans ,cake mix ,etc all the way to instant coffee
Sounds like ours is the same stuff mostly. The aka hour longs J-Y. Kind of hard for me to explain this without being there in person. If I was in person and showing you would make a lot more sense. At our DC we start on J most of the time with the big boxes of oil and start putting those on the corners. No matter what you do you always want the corners as the tallest and strongest item you got. I start putting sugar inside and other random items but make sure the corner is still your tallest and strongest piece. Usually when I get to k 231 we have these long brown rectangle shape sugar that is strong and usually got a lot of those. Start putting those on the corners then put the cans of pickles, sugar or something inside as well. On the back I just do the cans. The big tall double cans or any type of can. Usually by the time I get to t I have both pallets already filled both over halfway and easier after that. No that didnât really explain it the best but would make more sense if I was there in person and could show you. This is what I do recommend and this is what I did when I first started. I would always ask the perfect stackers and the ones that have been there for a while for advice on what to do or not to do. Ask for coworkers for advice. I can promise if they see your trying to get better and learn they will give you advice. Stacking takes time to learn but you will eventually get it
Sending support
Thanks so much. Nice to meet you
@@tb12olemiss you're welcome
Do you get overtime and is it time and a half? Ive been thinking about getting on there.
The dc I work at we used to get overtime all the time. Now averaging around 35-36 hours a week. Some dcs may let you get overtime but think most donât anymore. Itâs still a good paying job and good benefits but it is hard work. Be on weekdays and work 4 days be off 3 and work weekend be off 4 days and work 3. At our dc the guys on weekend get around 30 hours now I think and can come in a extra day but can only do half a day so still donât get 40 hours
i will soon be working at the walmart distribution center in charleston and have a question. is it possible to just strickly load or unload trucks and that be your only duty the whole shift?
Itâs possible you could start doing that but thatâs usually a promotion type job at most of them and have to work yourself up in the company. I would still ask and try and get that if possible. If you work on weekend or night shift you got a better chance that weekday 1st shift
@@tb12olemiss okay thank you for replying!
@@Mikhaylaa__1 no problem. Good luck
They have those jobs, it's called hauler and loaders. It's usually reserved for the older guys in like their 50's and 60's
I'm about to start in your location. Same place. Nervous about the whole thing for sure.
Donât be nervous about it. Iâm still there. If you see me feel free to say hey. We will all help you out and make you feel welcome. Welcome to Walmart dc
@Trent In The Sipp That's really nice. When the manager or lead taking me out to the floor soon I'll ask about you. You're all really encouraging, and I appreciate it greatly. I'll be seeing you.

What state do you order fill in ? I been at my Walmart DC for 3 years now I want to transfer to another state though we order fill with the Crown PC 4500 Electric Pallet Jack do you use the same ones ? Or do you know if all Walmart DCâs use the same electric pallet jacks ?
Iâm at the one in Mississippi. 6072
As far as the pallets jacks we actually just got a lot of new ones at ours. Ours was getting rough. To be honest donât remember what either one of them was called exactly. Both are the same namebrand with Crown
@@tb12olemiss do you know if itâs the pallet jacks where you have to swing your whole body to move it lol ? I see other DCs use that to order fill but those are weird
Not all DCs use the same equipment
Do you still work at Walmart DC? Iâve never worked in a dc and have a tour tomorrow morning, kinda nervous. Iâm a small guy đ
Still there. You got this
Whereâs your tour?
is ur name Brian
Can someone tell me whatâs the starting pay for them? I applied at the Walmart warehouse as a flight handler in California.
Every state and every shift/department is different. California pays more than Mississippi I do know that. To find out the exact answers your looking for I would give your local DC a call and see if they will tell you or if you know anybody that works there they can give you more information than I can
Which DC and state are you in?
6072. New Albany Mississippi
@@tb12olemiss I'm actually about to start there.

How to pull production? Get good trips, thatâs the answer. If you get dry and wet trips you will not pull
Short 1 pallet trips are easy. Wish could get those all day đ
Yeah, we are produce only and I'm Meat Produce. We have some crazy trips because our trips were being redesigned months ago, but due to the hurricane the engineer never finished and hasn't come back. We have some really really bad trips.
It depends. If it's just IFCO's and large cases I can rip out a double 70 in about 15 minutes some days, It's when I get the wet/dry trips that are all small boxes/cardboard that give you no good cases for foundation that I slow down
Hereâs a quick tip on how to pull production at Walmart distribution center. Donât be lazy.
Lazy wonât survive
Such an ignorant and narrow minded comment. Just because an individual isn't able to hit production numbers as well as the next person doesn't necessarily mean they are lazy.
Just like any other job/career out there, this isn't for everyone. Some people's minds work differently than others. What might come easy to me will be difficult for you and vice versa. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
Learn how to let that ego go for once.
Good on the surface, but not 100%. They start almost everyone loading, but not everyone is so fast loading or labeling. Ask your area manager if you have to for a better suiting position.
What kind of job do they give women
Same as men. Orderfilling is what most do. We got a couple women that orderfill on our shift. Just check with your local dc and see what is available
Like he said, orderfilling. There I'd this one woman I know and she pulls 125-140 regularly
I know this is old, but a lot of women drive the machines. Ask your area manager if there's better fit for you.
They scare off a lot of new hires because they all start off hand loading.
