Allat Goddess if it’s in Scotland we are taught in school around Christmas tike from when we are 5 and it’s a big part of our culture ... everyone can at least take part on a couple dances!
Why not play the Irish tune "The Virginia Reel" ( instead of Steven Foster and golden Slippers) and then go to "Turkey in the Straw" (which seems to work well).
