  • This week Maeve O'Meara goes in search of the fresh green flavours of Lebanese food when she visits one of her favourite Middle Eastern emporiums with master chef Greg Malouf. There, she discovers how to choose the best tahini, yoghurt, burgul, chick peas and spice mixes for use in the Lebanese kitchen. Later, Maeve visits Samira Saab whose tabouli is legendary and who has some simple tips on making it taste amazing.

The tabbouleh woman said to wash the veggies after chopping. I don't understand why you would wash after chopping when you can wash it easily before chopping. Weird logic.

You're one of many toxic people who misjudge confidence as arrogance. You probably hate on people who are proud of their achievements and have good self worth. You probably feel guilty when you feel good about yourself because you feel like it's arrogant so you just keep up having bad self worth like the majority of people.

    • @jessnrim

No offense but I have to say Lebanese food is pretty bland! The guy making the Kabab....sure everything looked nice but it probably had no taste. That's my experience with a lot of but not all Lebanese food...beautiful looking food but tasteless. But the nice guy grilling the meat his food looked way better than that pretentious and arrogant guy making the fish. Oh man!

I love all kinds of food. My favorite restaurant in the world is Lebanese. They have a super small dining room. The chef is referred my everyone as "Mama". Their food is sooo good.
If you don't think lebanese food is delicious then you haven't had it done right.
I have had horrible "Lebanese" food. So I hear you. You gotta try it cooked well. Good places are hard to find in the US for sure.

Sadly in my experience a lot of lebanese restaurants abroad are not that good and bland like you said. I had to learn how to cook myself to get the same taste as I did back home.
