  • How to Sew an Envelope Pillow Cover
    In this video, you’ll learn how to sew an envelope pillow cover. An envelope pillow cover is fun, easy to sew, and best of all, it does not require a zipper! Because the covers are easy to make, you may want to make a number of them to change out for the different seasons. Choose Sunbrella fabrics and give your outdoor space a pop of color too!
    Begin by choosing your favorite fabric, a down or poly pillow form (sometimes referred to as an insert) in the size that suits you best. Gather your supplies then you are on your way!
    Keep in mind that they make the perfect gift for others!
    This fun and easy to make DIY pillow is perfect for any skill level from beginner to professional!

      I agree. You would have to make the front separate from the back two pieces.

    What type of fabric is recommendable to envelope the filling for outdoor back pillow. I'll appreciate your opinion. Thank you.

    • @SandraVanSickle
      @SandraVanSickle  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Marye. I would recommend using a Sunbrella fabric for the pillow fabric and using an insert that is 100% polyfill and the shell is water resistant. Joann's carries a Weather soft insert. Hope this Helps.

    Hey nice I was wondering if I wanna do a couch pillow what fabric to use also do you have one with Pom Pom

    • @SandraVanSickle
      @SandraVanSickle  Před 2 měsíci

      You can use just about any fabric. If you use Pom Pom, you can add it to the two side seams. Or Stitch it around the edge, depending on if you mind the top of the pom pom to show.

    Great tutorial but as you are using the imperial system it's hard for me to visualise the size of the measurements without recalcuating them to metric. It would be helpful if you could include the calcs in cms, as the vast majority of countries use this.

    • @SandraVanSickle
      @SandraVanSickle  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, I am using the imperial system. That is a good suggestion thank you.

    Can’t believe you sewed over the pins! Please don’t set that example. I did that for years until I hit one, broke the needle which made a horrible noise and scared me half to death. Then I was without my machine for almost 3 weeks while the timing was repaired and I had a huge repair bill. Absolutely not worth the gamble.
